I use a longer 15' 1 1/2 dia. extension hose from a vacuum cleaner for my 300 and with the drop off of my deck it drains all 300 gallons in about 25 minutes. I put the entire hose in the tub, fill it with water then with my hand over one end pull it over the side of the tub and the water comes rushing out. You can also use the pump, on the jet and pull it off when then water starts to flow then unplug the pump.
Your video explaining how to drain a soft tub with a garden hose was very helpful. Could you mention algae if you haven't yet? That's what our problem is . Thank you.
What do you have your Softub sitting on? What do you do to avoid mildew under the tub? Do you use a weather cover? Do you have suggestions for using and protecting the Softub outside in the winter? I have recently acquired a Softub and have many questions. Thank you for your video!!
As long as you have it on a relatively flat and smooth surface it'll be fine. I have used it on concrete and grass both with no issues. I leave the cover on when not in use and it withstands all weather elements fine. Just keep snow buildup off of it and away from the motor in the winter. You'll come to enjoy it all year round.
@@easyclearpool Thank you for the info! I spoke to a Softub retailer and recommended 303 Aerospace Protectant spray to keep the outside of the tub protected from UV rays. I'll be hooking up the hot tub on a concrete slab open to the elements soon! It hasn't been run for a number of years. My fingers are crossed that it runs ok.
Thank you! I just got a used Softub and was about ready to fill it up and clean it. This answered all my questions and more. The tips were great!
You can also prime a hose without a faucet, by turning on the jets and putting the tub end against it.

Hey George, we are getting one of these tubs delivered shortly. Compare notes?
Thank you for sharing

How do you get the filter off that softtub?
It pulls off rather easily from inside the Softub.
Hi, are the pumps all the same for all these models? Meaning is the pressure the same on a 140 or tge largest unit?
All the pumps are not the same. I have seen some 1 hp and 1.5 hp.
Thanks
Does the chlorine kill lawn grass?
No, in fact where water is drained from the pool or Softub makes the lawn greener from all the water.
