It's got me beat why you can't call in a Jaguar/Harrier/Phantom carrying some Paveways and drop a few bridges. Even arty or engineers could quickly do enough damage to make the bridge unusable by armour.
I've completed this on Elite. Use a Chally north east of Bravo to supress the bridge. Have 1 AT inf and a stinger at Charlie. Alpha is where most of your fighting will be, use the woods to have a stinger on the bend of the river and give them a supply, same with the urban area on Alpha. Get a swingfire to sideshot alpha bridge (A good position is west of Alpha Football field). Hope that helps!

Reason 1) It's a game, and the mission would be much less exciting if you could just blow up the bridges and then play nothing but SAMs.
Reason 2) "In Lore" presumably CENTAG want to counter attack once the soviet assault has run out of steam, which is more difficult without bridges
Reason 3) Bridges make crossing much easier, but also more predictable. Blowing them up would require thorough garrisoning of the whole bank to stop amphibious incursions.
@@MadManchou I've gamed this scenario and many more like it at Duntroon. Dropping bridges was a pretty standard thing to do, forcing bottle-necks etc. You'd never drop all of the bridges or you'd leave yourself heavily handicapped for counter-assaults and such.
Amphibious assaults are VERY hard to do and often require some rather specific conditions to happen at all. Especially for the Soviets, but hey, what do I know?

your scouts got spotted cos they opened fire on the enemy infantry. You can turn off weapons or go on return fire if you just want to observe
When I played this for the first time I tried to use swingfires to defend the bridges at Alpha and Charlie but I actually lust Alpha because they just didn’t make their shots count - had to recapture Alpha which was challenging without much infantry but I still managed to win after that but the amount of Helicopters they kept sending where really a pain in the ass.

they should really buff AA, either make it have a higher probability of hitting or make the missiles do more damage
- 100% they should increase the damage. Apache shoudnt be taking 3 missiles to take down.
But at the same time the curremt systems makes helicopter infantry assaults much more of a tactic

I really want to love this game, tried it a load of times now and just can’t get into it. I’ve sunk hundreds of hours in WG:RD and this doesn’t come close for me 😢

This RTS game looks cool, but I find it somewhat unlikely that the Russians would send their forces in piecemeal.
Enemy AI is beneath criticism. I'm completely disappointed.
Many enemy units are spawned with a single purpose of being a cannon fodder. Try to give some enemy APCs a free pass and then you'll see they literally has no end task. They just arrive to their move endpoint and will stand there without doing anything, not even unloading their infantry.
I am surprised but also know they want to keep their core players in MP, so balance and updates for them is a priority.
Really hoping the AI gets fixed to be at least equivalent to the SD2 experience where it's fun to skirmish and play scenarios (historical) to learn in the first hundred or so hours. If that experience is bad in WARNO it's gonna be a tough sell to new players even if the MP is great fun

Challenger 1 tanks in Ukraine? Ukrainian tankers call them sniper rifles they are so good. I think they should rate Russian tanks with real-world numbers.
they use chally 2s in ukraine but yeah they're very good at long range sniping of enemy structures and fortifications due to its great hesh round.
