I never realized before searching for this drama. I watched "General and I" just the other day yet I couldn't recognize him. He may grow a bit older but you can hardly find Chinese actors who changed so drastically while playing a different character. Rather the editor does most of the work. In this drama, the editor didn't sugar-coated the gimmick scenes. If it was any other drama, the sudden kiss scene at 3:58 when he realized the female lead is actually jealous and then couldn't hold back his feelings, they would have done it in slow-mo and from different angles. They would've used music. But in this drama, they did it in the old fashioned way, and it still has such strong appeal. I'm really surprised and enjoyed the drama. Sadly it's underrated.

This actor is manly and handsome not like many young actors now : they are beautifuls ! chineses actors before as Tony Leung, Andy Lau, Chang cheh.....they're are really manly and strong !
So much for sisterhood..damn just tell your sister you have the hots for that dude..(obviously so he feels the same way about her)...instead of using your sister and playing her.
The girl role is too innocent and does not know the truth of being life and who really loves her, which can brings the calamity to her husband at the end. It may be too late to be enlightened how good his husband is. At that time she will get the great lost which cannot be recovered and she must be sank in the sober time through her life.
Why put a synopsis in #@$&*#$@+-%*…..no English speaking viewer can read that, really unprofessional, unless you don’t want English speaking viewers watching…

打仗為何要帶不會打仗的女人，何況是將軍夫人成為作戰絆腳石呢？全劇情中最不合邏輯的地方，編劇多用點心別當觀是笨蛋，唯一優點是主角將軍充滿將軍應有的氣勢，外型也符合戰士應有的魄力，反觀許多古裝劇男主將軍多是奶油小生只有帥氣外貌而已，全劇男主演技最優！
因為這都是片段的集錦，那一段是陳文德罄州城的軍隊被吳吟下毒並買通底下的士兵，半夜偷開城門，所以陳文德拜逃驛站
女主被護送逃出來後跟陳文德會合，被追兵追上。
然後~我也贊同男主演技全劇最佳，孫藝洲詮釋的很棒!! 陸劇超難得一見的真．將軍風範。
終於有個不是花美男的將軍男主角了，而且人設還相當不錯，可惜這劇沒有大火(可能是雙女主的人設都很讓人想吐槽吧~)
