My husband and I couldn't have children despite infertility treatment. We chose not to use IVF for the very reason that you explained, Brett. We would not have a child at any moral or ethical cost. Adoption turned out to be not an option for us at that time. I believed that God had promised us a large family and struggled when this didn't happen. However, He answered our prayers in an unexpected way when we started sponsoring 2 girls in Nepal linked with a church in Kathmandu that our church here was involved with. We've visited the children's home nearly every year. The 2 girls who are now young women call us Mother and Father - not something we asked of them. All the children in the home call us Auntie and Uncle. We have a big Nepalese family. Isn't God amazing!
I was so disturbed when I saw that these two men had bought that baby and watched one of their short videos. I just cried and prayed to God for His protection over that baby. This world is becoming more evil by the day! Come Lord Jesus soon please

I know the Heiliggeistkirche in Heidelberg but was not aware of the concert. The protestant church in Germany is losing members as more and more are opting out of paying the church tax by resigning their membership. A lot of the reason is the covering up of child abuse, similar for the Catholics. The loss was 702 000 for 2023 of which about 600 000 are resignations. A bit lower than the previous year, and roughly level with the year before. The church is succumbing to the temptation to look more 'relevant' to stem the loss. Does not appear to be working, but when did God ever prosper sinful or worldly ways? What a change from the wartime pastor who was defamed and deported by the Nazis for saving the lives of Jews.

The idea of a "third province" for the Church of England was raised back in 1993 shortly before I left the church. It was clear even then that Canterbury and the liberal establishment were never going to allow that to happen. No doubt that they foresaw that it could have been full of vibrant growing conservative churches (both evangelical and Anglo Catholic) and in a few decades ending up more powerful than liberal Canterbury and York combined. That's why to them it was absolutely essential to impose women priests on the whole church, regardless of the damage that would do.

Duffs response was laughable of course - but we have to look at the wider picture here. What a disgrace for Welby and Cotterill, to put her in such a personally compromising position - they will have known, and there must have been considerable pressure on her. They will have been chuckling down their sleeves having undermined one of their most vocal opponents in such a devious manner. Yes its terribly disappointing, but it is also an example of seriously manipulative leadership and a disgusting performance.
With a bit more reflection I have come to feel some sympathy with Duff, not for what she took part in but as you say the level of manipulation that was going on in the background to this. Hardly bestowing honour on the weaker vessel.

There's must be so much of the Bible that these people can no longer read. Jay Vernon McGee told me years ago that no liar, fornicator, homosexual will enter the gates of heaven. I believed him, I Guess these people don't. I'm thankful God called me, saved me, gave me His Spirit and a desire not to offend Him, and led me to an independent Baptist Church that loves to declare the Truth. Praying that while there is life they would turn and repent and be saved.
I was deeply disappointed to hear what Jill Duff has done, for all the reasons you say. I'm a Reader (lay minister) in a very evangelical parish in the west of England. The main thing that keeps me in the Church of England is a very strong sense that God has called me to serve in this place, in this parish. There is no pressure on us at all to go along with the LLF stuff -- we just didn't do it or even discuss it, because everyone leading on the PCC and all those involved in ministry are of one, biblically shaped mind. And because of the comparative independence of the parish, certainly in this diocese, I think it very unlikely that we will face pressure from further up the CoE hierarchy. A greater danger, I suspect, is of the activist types, who wear a masquerade of Christian behaviour and faith, involving themselves in the parish and then kicking up a fuss after they have deliberately asked us to perform a blessing -- or something else that they know we reject on biblical grounds. I am also very mindful of Bishop Rob Munro's words to the orthodox folk for whom he cares -- before you leave, think of those who are left behind. Thank you for such a thought-provoking episode, even though so much of the news ranged from the disappointing to the outrageous!
Keep up the good fight Martin. First and foremost you are serving God and His children, and they will always need devout, devoted disciples like yourself to guide them - especially when Church leaders become blinded by cultural conformity.
Interesting. we have a large majority on our PCC who are keeping the faith, but the system is weak. We had a guy who when asked said he was both evangelical and orthodox, and was elected onto our PCC. He lied.
We had Bishop Munroe at our church recently confirming some members. We are lucky that our vicar and all the PCC are together in their orthodox beliefs. I think we maybe in the same diocese.

Why be shocked? In remaining in the C of E she is stating that she can live with gay sex blessings, for her they do not matter much to God and so don't matter much to her. The C of E has a long history of compromise and she exhibits it. 'Evangelicals' are characterised as living according to biblical truth, so she is no longer and evangelical, as indeed are the rest of 'evangelicals' who remain. If you can live with gay blessings then you are an evangelical in name only.

It was schismatic from it's foundation and would therefore begin to disintegrate. I am amazed it took 500 years to do so. I don't know whether it is blasphemous to lay hands on the head of an openly practising homosexual cleric to invoke the blessing and anointing of the Holy Spirit on that person and/or his ministry? I'd be interested to hear your views on how Christianity is doing globally. I hear the view that basically says Christianity is doing poorly and therefore we are likely near the end times, but the idea that "Christianity is doing poorly" seems to really mean "Christianity is doing poorly in the West". It seems to me that globally Christianity is doing very well and it is only in the relatively small places of Europe and North America where we see decline. Elsewhere Christianity is doing well. My understanding is that at no other time have we seen such a turning to Christ among Muslims and (at least since the early church) Jews. Africa and Asia may well need a couple more generations to reach some Constantine moments. Arguable we are in some of the most exciting times ever in Church history - it's only in our backwaters where we see decline. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. The New Testament warned that there would be a great falling away towards the End! Revelation and Thessalonians, as well as Jesus in the Gospels, speaks clearly of how it will become before Jesus returns. ❤

Greetings from England. I am a Catholic, and I enjoy watching your videos, they have much wisdom. Sad to say, The Church of England will continue to fracture. It was schismatic from it's foundation and would therefore begin to disintegrate. I am amazed it took 500 years to do so. I take no pleasure in seeing it's demise, for much of modern England is built on this Virtual church. Come back home , Church of England brethren and join the Great Commission in bringing England back to the Church that the Gates of hell shall never prevail.

People pray for these souls who are misled by the ruler of this world. They are God's children that they may repent and turn back to the Gospel of God. I'd be interested to hear your views on how Christianity is doing globally. I hear the view that basically says Christianity is doing poorly and therefore we are likely near the end times, but the idea that "Christianity is doing poorly" seems to really mean "Christianity is doing poorly in the West". It seems to me that globally Christianity is doing very well and it is only in the relatively small places of Europe and North America where we see decline. Elsewhere Christianity is doing well. My understanding is that at no other time have we seen such a turning to Christ among Muslims and (at least since the early church) Jews. Africa and Asia may well need a couple more generations to reach some Constantine moments. Arguable we are in some of the most exciting times ever in Church history - it's only in our backwaters where we see decline.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Welby made this choice on purpose by choosing Mrs. Duff. Now that she has done this her voice is diminished . She did not have the fortitude to stand for the trachings of Christ. Perhaps this is why Christ se up the church the way he did?
