on a v shaped engine, having a turbo on each side makes sense. Also with the turbos being smaller and only connected to 3 cylinders each, it should spool up faster. Love this setup

I’ll share it cost right around 28k for the full build !! I think that’s on the low side of the cost... there is a lot of money into doing 1000hp motor. This car can be swapped injectors and fuel pump and retune and put down a lot more then what it’s making on the conservative tune it has..

Twin is better, look it up. Here's a quote. This applies to the VQ37, but I'm assuming that the VQ35 is the same. are you serious a stock z can take 12 pounds of boost I wouldn't more than 5 in mine just because the engine just got rebuilt by the dealer because it blew up 30 mins after I left. new connecting rods bearings complete gasket set camshafts a crank hell nearly everything except for pistons themselves

Buying one tomorrow with 581 rwhp with APS TT kit (fully built / Forged rotating assembly)... I heard the rear end (Limited Slip Viscous) is the weak link after you fully build the engine, what is your opinion on this and have you replaced it yet? Was thinking of instantly putting a Cusco Built LSD unless its really not an issue.
I use to own a 2004 350z which has the VQ35DE and now own a 2014 370z Nismo. Surprisingly the VQ35DE is the motor that I pulled the most power out of with full bolt on's. I would honestly prefer to build an older VQ35DE engine than a newer HR as a project. My old Z was probably just as fast as my Nismo if not a little faster with full bolt on's. The full bolt on's made that much of a difference with the older Z.
List of mods for the 350Z DE 1) Nismo exhaust 2) JIC Y Pipe 3) Berk HFC 4) Plenum Spacer 5) Injen Cold Air Intake These simple mods really made a big difference with the DE.

ssmoly That sounds great if you're going to go with test pipes I would advise you to get none foulers. Their cheap it'll prevent your check engine light from staying on with test pipes. A great alternative is to buy your add ons on the 350z forum, used classifies add section. I bought all the aftermarket parts I name used in good condition really cheap. I wouldn't of been able to afford all that at full price. I paid just $300 bucks for the Nismo exhaust which made a big difference. On the DE you don't have to get a tune to notice a big difference in power like you would on the HR.

Only the 2005 anniversary edition has the rev-up engine. 2006 was the year where all 350's had rev up motors. 2005 for the most part uses the vq35de motor. Just like the 2003.
there was no close calls its not as dangerous driving like that when you know what your doing someone that cant drive doing the speed limit is more hazardous to peoples safety cause theres alot of ppl that cant drive vs the people that can. most people understand the risk cause anytging can happen you just gotta be ready for it before it does lol that car looks like a alot of fun i love cars that dont hookup till 4th gear thats when there the most fun to drive my s13s the same way 1-2-3 to the rev limiter 4th is when it starts to hook must be a nissan thing other people just dont understand how its done......

Yes fully built motor ...can handle more then the 19 psi that it is tuned very safely now...stock you kinda wanna stay around 12-14 psi tops ..

my suggestion is get a mechanical diff if you're looking to plant the rear end. these cars dont give you good traction with their "VLSD"

Your limit safely on that bottom end is 10-12 pds of boost with a nice tune should push around 400 rear wheel ...
