I mean I don`t mind tragic villains when they`re done well but in Snyder`s case, it`s because he despises any comic book canon examples aside from the edgy `90s and `00s and thus fails to see why the cheesy and melodramatic eras of past as well as loosening of inter-industry censorship such as the CCA due to reforms pressured by the very progressive SJWs Snyder and his fanboys despise by the way comic books gradually progressed to make the industry more open to such edgy,adult storylines!
This was an Incredible Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Antagonist’s in The DC Extended Universe. Ray Poter did amazing job and I’m excited to What’s The DC Extended Universe has in store for him.

If you look closely, Darkseids design in the Snyder cut looks like what he looks like in the comics.
