Yes! Almost every tutorial I see has all the extra space filled up with a ghost note on the snare. What you don't play is just as important!
Away the lads! Subscribed, canny lad.
Youre my favourite fill ❤
Haha love you mate x
John Bonham played a lot of "broken 16ths" in his drum fills. I think that's partly what gave him his sound-all of the notes that he left out.
simple and effective! Great training, thanks. Subbed!
Thanks Andy! 👊🏻
Hey there Phil ! well idk if this is a better name .. but i call them partials, because they're broken parts of the beat ..and we can find partials for every note rate.
i tried finding a term that's not specific to any one note rate but, i guess we can say broken triplets too so fair game.
i really dont think theres an official term though. weird huh??
I suppose they're just combos of 8th and 16th notes at the end of the day, but referencing them against a group of four single stroke 16ths.
I've always called those broken 16ths too. The guys over at drumeo call them broken 16ths as well.
Good to know! Thanks :)
The BEST "drum fill" is the one that FITS THE SONG" and has NOTHING to do with TECHNIQUE or GIMMICKS like these
Well, I agree with the first part at least 🙂
I have a better name : rhythms. When you listen to metal drummers, you can hear very simple things played at incredibly fast tempos. Now, listen to Cuban or Brazilian music.
These rhythms are super important for metal too, it's great to try these exercises on double kick too!
@@philthebeatI can't. My left foot is busy playing the clave.
@@ofdrumsandchords Haha fair enough!
So syncopation?😂
Nope
