  • I show here how you can edit some of the settings. I had a question on one of my blogs how to do it, and the manual isn't as useful as one would like it to be since its all translated from Chinese.
Basically you click left or right until you're at what you want to set, then click the monkey wrench icon, then click left or right to set the value, then click the wrench again.
This is my EPSolar Tracer 2215RN charge controller. Any of the Tracer units that uses the 'Meter 5' i believe its called would be edited the same way. Not all settings are editable, like voltages. EPSolar / Renogy has new units out though that do allow more granular configuration.

Thanks for this review. I just got the 30a model which I use with a 420ah 12 battery bank (FLA) I was wondering if you figured a way to get this thing to do equalization.

+Adesuyan Bobby (bigbrovar) replied in the other comment. Nice work on you bank, hope it all, works well. My controller has worked flawlessly! No complaints other than no watt readout.

If you have a Tracer controller, once the batteries are fully charged the controller will automatically equalize. You will here a beep. Make sure your battery are all in line. What I mean is Do not use the same battery to connect both positive and negative. Use first battery for + and the last battery for - since they are all connected.

    Thank you!
so bad we dont have the optionm for load off and load on based on voltages.
Cheaper units do have that available.
what alternative to complement that feature can we use, perhaps a second cheap controller measuring battery voltage and then turning on and off the load and etracer load set to off all the time?
    what do you think?

clientesym believe it does auto shut off the load with low voltage though I can't say for certain. I don't recall exactly. You can get other electronic switches off ebay I'm sure to do just about anything under the sun there.

Where I can find a User Manual? There are many instruction manuals on www sites, but not the user manual.
Or can somebody tell me what the timer n,0,1....17 settings are meaning?
Instruction manual tell only" The user is able to program the timer from the MT-5 Tracer by choosing the number that corresponds to the desired timer. This information can be found on the manual of the MPPT Charge Controller"

Hey guys..I have this mppt tracer 40 A. I have two 24v 200 watts solar panels putting in a total of 400 w and a 12v deep cycle golf cart battery at 135 Ah. I am however only putting in a maximum or 13 amps while it should go up to 33amps on a half full battery. What might be the problem here? Everything is new from panels to battery to inverter and controller. Thanks...

+Qaysar Islam good question. you've tried pointing the panels on a bright strong sunny day have you? possibly your batteries can't consume that much, i think there is a max amp value that can be pumped into them per hour... i know my 90amp hour AGM can accept 90 amp hours of charge going into them at once but the lead acid is i think a lot lower, you can't charge lead acid as fast. don't otherwise know the answer though. thanks for the comment!

+EverythingNewUnderThe Son many thanks for your help. Would you know how or where I can find if my battery has an intake maximum rate.
