My late buddy, Don, was - when we were adults working in shows at Disneyland - my favorite "Mouse", which is how we refer to each other. He was in the younger category his one season, our last of shooting, and at that age we had little in common. He was a really great guy, one of the best professionals of the group as a composer, conductor, player, singer, actor and all the rest and just a great guy! He was NOT THE FIRST TO DIE. That was Mike Smith in the early 1980s who was on like most of the 39 originals for 1 season only and was in the "Meesketeer" category, the youngest of three groups, like the late Karen and Cubby who is still with us. I was in contact with Don during his last years and gave him some advice about writing a memoir, for mine, THE ACCIDENTAL MOUSEKETEER was published in 2014; originally titled differently and published in 2009 and updated after Annie's death [the late Annette Funicello, who admitted I was her first boyfriend and gave her that first kiss in her autobiography]. For the record, 16 of the 39- 1955-59 "Mice" have left the club [deceased] , as did Tom Kirk in 2021. Nine of us lasted the entire filming of the original series: 5 girls - the late Annette, Doreen and Karen and Sharon and our only twice convicted felon who served time Darlene. I am still dancing, perhaps more slowly, along with Cubby, Bobby and Tommy, although the latter still cannot dance very well. Two were on for 2 seasons: the very Popular Cheryl and the only one of us who was murdered, Dennis Day*. The singer Dennis Day on radio and TV with Jack Benny was NOT related to this Mouseketeer with the same name. Mouseketeer Lonnie Burr now it's time to say goodbye..........
And his younger sister Lani O'Grady played the oldest daughter Mary on Eight Is Enough.
and has also died😓
@@maddyhayes617 Of a suspected drug overdose.
What an amazing head of hair!! He’s definitely of Italian descent. Most Italian men have a thick head of hair for life!
Not Danny DeVito!
@@JesseTheMindless there goes my theory!
My uncles did not!!!!
Plus handsome and so well spoken.
Robbie was always my favorite ❤
RIP... I am surprised he was the first of the kids to pass. He was great. Talented
Hey, Lisa Longo. I couldn't agree more. Thanks for watching!
Best, David
I was so shocked that he passed at a young age. Excellent actor👍
Rest easy Don
His mother had a Talent Agency, so easy for her to place her kids in good series
Funny how we think we KNOW what would work for us... then BAM! Something WAY better comes along!!
Hey, Veronica Gonzales. I couldn't agree more. Thanks for watching!
Best, David
How is he still looking like he did in The 1960s ? How is even possible??
So cute!
LARAMIE lasted 4 seasons, but Bobby Crawford was only on the show for 1.
Awesome
awesome
He still looks the same.
Unfortunately, he passed away in 2012.
I believe BONANZA was the first 1 hr in color western?
He looks and sounds like the Property Brothers twins... I have the cleft chin too
I also have a cleft chin. Not sure where I got it because none of my living family members have one.
Why'd he change his birth name?
I think when he signed for 'My Three Sons' they more or less convinced him to do it. He'd performed under his birth surname of 'Agrati' on 'The Mickey Mouse Club'!
