Thank you so much for sharing this Terre. 37 years ago, I danced around my kitchen with a new born in my arms and a 2 year old dancing around my legs to the album with this song on it, in my little cassette tape recorder. Last night I listened to some of the songs with my 39 year old daughter, 37 year old son, and the youngest, who's 31 now. We all still love you and the music.
A lifetime ago the woman who would be my wife joined a packed house at Shriver Hall on the campus of Johns Hopkins for a magical night of music by The Roches. In the background of my life songs like this have continued to play, reflecting new realities, reflecting old memories, invoking emotions shared, and sometimes held alone. Thank you so much for your art. It has often touched our hearts.
hi terre! I'm a new Roches fan, thank you for you and your sisters music! god bless. I love this song, your voice, your phrasing and you play hella guitar
I have been listening to this song alot lately, gotten so back into the Roches. This song gets me right in the heart, huge lump in the throat. And this solo version by Terre hits as hard. I so love the Roches and miss them very much. I would love to get to see and hear Terre perform and am so happy she has continued on. This is such a great song. ❤️
So very beautiful Terre-I always loved this song-I teared up a little listening- I've been a fan sense You and your sisters opened up for Randy Newman at the tower theater in Philly . Anyway -Thanks for the performance. If you are ever playing in the Trenton area let me know please. Sorry about Maggie🍀🥀🥀🥀🥀
Absolutely beautiful. I am a long time fan of The Roches, since I was in HS in the 80's. Saw many live shows. I was just reminded of this song last week because it was featured (fittingly) in the closing credits of Ramy Season 3 Episode 9. I am SO SO curious how the producers came to choose it and use it. Can you shed any light? I was so excitedly stunned to hear it!
