Thanks for making this video so now I don't have to over pay for a shuttle/limo from the Airport to my hotel. Last time I was in Singapore I didn't know about the MRT system at the airport. 👏👏👏
You mentioned that your journey was "complicated", but from your explanation; I found that it was actually not. I have travelled vastly during my visits to Singapore on the MRT and found it to be very convenient and easy, provided one keeps a complimentary MRT map to refer too. I found that I saved so much time and travelled in comfort albeit missing out on sights in the underground sections of the MRT. I have also take the buses, sitting on the upper deck, taking in a slightly perspective to sight-seeing. I would urge any visitor to use the public transport system and see the real Singapore. Happy travelling! 🙂
Thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻 i will be in Singapore for 8 hours. I will arrive to terminal 4. So I think firstly i will go to Terminal 1 and then to city... Thanks!
Thanks for the video, very informative. Question, is there any single-use MRT card that you know of? In other word, does it mean ez link is a must for MRT? For short stay, it seems like $5 is too much as the card is non refundable 😶
Hi Kev, thank you for watching the video. By using the EZ Link the fare is much cheaper than a single use ticket. For example, a 3.2km trip, a $1.70 without card will only be $0.92 on ez link. It is also much convenient and cheaper to use ez link on a bus as no change will be given on a bus
@@mytraveljourney2024 You can ask the ticket counter or tourist information for advice when you arrive. Also there is a Singapore tourist pass - unlimited travel for 1 to 3 days
I'm just curious, are all MRT lines one-way or two-way? If I take the EW line from Changi Airport - Tanah Merah stattion until EW8 and transfer to CC9 at Payah Lebar stattion, does it go directly to CE1 Bayfront - Gardens By The Bay?
To get from Changi Airport Terminal 1 Arrival Hall to the City take the Skytrain from Changi Airport Terminal 1 to Changi Airport Terminal 3 from Terminal 3 take the MRT from Changi Airport MRT Station (CG2) to Tanah Merah MRT Station (EW4/CG) then transfer from EWL Changi Airport Line to East West Line then Lastly take the East West Line from Tanah Merah MRT Station (EW4/CG) to Lavender MRT Station (EW11) so that's how to get to the City from Changi Airport Terminal 1 Arrival Hall
Chinatown area is usually Outram Park or Chinatown MRT stations. Take the MRT train to Changi MRT station which will be between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Follow the sign to take the Skytrain to Terminal 1
If you are going from the airport, once you come out from the T1 baggage belt. Follow the sign Skytrain to Terminal 3, then from Terminal 3, go to MRT station
The last train and bus service will end just before midnight. So you can get a taxi, e hailing (grab, uber) from the airport. The tourist info counter is open, you can ask for more info upon arrival
Sorry, I have never travelled on this route. You can try to get the info from seat61.com - a useful info on train travels. I think there is a bus connection to Kranji MRT

If the lines join, meaning it is a connecting station. 2 ways traffic.

Wait I thought the MRT Station to the city is in Terminal 2? So is it Terminal 2 or Terminal 3? 🤔
@@mariette8625 The MRT station is between T2 and T3, so it is easily accessible from both Terminals 2 and 3
How to go to t4 from t2? I understand there is no skytrain?
There is a free shuttle bus which runs every few minutes between T4 and T2.
I'm planning to stay at Chinatown area, can you tell me how to get to T1 ? Thank you so much 🙏

@@CharlesTravels So from MRT Terminal 3 will travel throught to Chinatown without changing at Tanah Merah, Right? as it's a blueline?
You need to change at Expo to the Blue line
How much to pay from changi air port to lavender by train ?
I used EZLink card, the machine deducted S$1.81 from my card balance. Buying individual ticket will cost more
How long does it take to get through the airport? Like from Terminal 1 to the actual station?
About 30 minutes. You will need to get the skytrain from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3, then go down to the MRT station
Are the buse station and mrt station still open if you arrive at midnight?
The last train and bus service will end just before midnight. So you can get a taxi, e hailing (grab, uber) from the airport. The tourist info counter is open, you can ask for more info upon arrival

Hi Charles, can you use your debit/credit card or do you have to have the easy link card? We are not going to do many trips. Gina
Hi Gina, Yes, you can now use the credit/debit card. Just double check with the ticket counter
