I miss Singapore. Haven’t been back for 20yrs. You’re right about small talk. I remembered saying hi how are you when I was at a supermarket check out line to the cashier and she looked at me funny.
Omg that reminds me of my first time in Australia, I was also checking out at the supermarket. The cashier asked me how I was and I started telling her I had been having a bad day since the morning. She definitely regretted asking. Come back soon!!

Nice video, lots of useful information, was not aware of the SGAC card. Planning on getting a limo to get from the airport to my hotel. Definitely beneficial information.
I once had a 5 hour transit in Sg but i went to straight to Katong to eat and then had a beer at Cider Pit at Joo Chiat with some old friends before catching a flight to Hong Kong. LOL. Its really easy taking a Grab taxi/taxi from the airport.
omg i just checked the price.... definitely not worth it hahahah. ALLLL of the destinations are easily reached via public transport, and most of them are so near each other they're walkable. This would make a nice walking tour though~ I have another video on a nice 1 day itinerary that might be suitable for you and your family ^^ ua-cam.com/video/HfBzECyIeVw/v-deo.html
Hmm i prefer cotton to polyester. But those cotton t shirts from cold countries might be rather thick. Polyesters stick to the body and frequently emits odour very fast
Your videos are so informative! I literally planned my tour of Singapore by watching them. I have a 30-hour layover in Singapore next week! I plan to use my Mastercard to get around and pay but do you think $20 will be enough for food? I plan to go to the Maxwell Food Centre that I saw in your other video for lunch and then to Satay Street for dinner. I'll probably buy street food too.
Yay thanks! That'll be a fun 30 hours :) I would recommend budgeting $8 per meal, so that you can try more things The satay street meal might cost around ~$15

When I was visiting in US/AU often times strangers would come up and strike up a conversation, however this is not the norm in SG. I bought a direct flight to Singapore but my next route is Johar Bahru with bus. Do you think it will be a problem not presenting any flight ticket only a bus ticket at the airport?
As long as you like! Personally i suggest exploring the airport on your way OUT, so that you don’t have to carry your luggages around after you check them in. Many of the exhibits are 24 hours. Some of my favorites in the public area are the Kinetic Rain in T1, Waterfall in T2, and definitely the vortex in Jewel
I'm planning to go to Singapore next week. Is it safe to travel there with cash only, without credit card? Plus, where can I top up my EZ link card for MRT by only cash? Thanks in advance.
In terms of safety against crime, yes safe. There are very few shops that does not support cash. In every train station, theres a machine to top up your card. You can also do this at every train station office, the staff will help you. I have another video about public transport that covers this ^^ ua-cam.com/video/flgV3FQrOCk/v-deo.htmlsi=Z9sKwjA7QFsqyFJp

I plan on taking a cruise from Singapore and need to stay 1 night with my family in a hotel for the night before the cruise, I will arriving in the airport, what hotel do you recommend for such a short stay? Thank you!
If you're planning to just have a good rest and get on with the cruise the next day, I recommend Outram Park area, personally i used Dorset: affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=60453&aff_adid=971590&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-SG%2Fhotels%2Fdetail%2F396992-dorsett-singapore%2F (it's an affiliate link) Reasons: 1. Directly connected to Outram Park Train station, which is on the green line, very easy to take a straight train from Changi Airport 2. It's also near to both the cruise ports in SG, direct Purple line to harbourfront OR 1x transfer to Marina cruise center If you're booking via KLOOK you could use my discount code ^^ "DASHINGHEIGHTSKLOOK" Though you might need to create a new account and set the account's region as SINGAPORE to get it to work.. BONUS TIP: - if you have the night free to explore, check out Keong Saik road, you might find a nice dinner spot there - If the morning before your cruise is free, walk down to Everton Park or Chinatown ENJOY!!!!
nope, the public transport are mostly 5am-midnight. your options past midnight are limited to private car hire. I have heard people chilling in the airport until the first bus/train, that may be an option for you ^^
Your videos are really helpful. I have one query, I'm planning to visit jewel on the day i land there. Can i visit it? Or i can visit it only while departure? Im leaving Singapore on road, and it won't be possible to visit jewel if that's the case.
heya i dont know if there is a dedicated Emirates chauffeur spot. I did see some people pay for meet & greet - this way the driver will wait for you at arrival gate after immigration. If it's a pickup appointment, there is a dedicated car pickup location in T1 B1
Bring your identification document such as a passport, and buy a simcard at the starhub/singtel booths or at convenience store 7-11 or cheers :) HONESTLY you dont need a number in singapore if coming as a tourist. However if you’re staying long term it’s essential

For how long one can stay at Changi airport... And explore ... In cases where flights are landing around 4:00a.m
Do you know if trains from airport still open between 10-11pm?
yes, last train will depart at 11.18 PM. catch it!
Can we use forex card in Singapore?
as long as Visa/Master supported && contactless enabled yes
Hai can i carry tetra packed milk from India?
yea but need to be in ur checked in luggage
@@dashingheightsoh thats fine. Thanq. And one more thing may I know how much the quantity limit I can carry from India?
@@swathitulasi8178 milk is not a controlled product, you can carry as much as your luggage allows
this is very helpful.
I watched the full video but I couldn't get the idea how to get to T1 from T4.
Please help me, my arrival is at T4 and what should I do to get to T1. I want to see rain vortex
You must take a shuttle bus from T4! It should take u to T2, where you can catch the skytrain to T1 :)
Hi may I ask what month is the best to visit Singapore?
depends on what you're looking for. indoor malls for shopping come any day
for walking around the city with less rainy weather avoid Nov->March
hi! can we go to our accommodation (Chinatown DT19) by riding MTR from Expo Station (DT35) even if we have luggage?
I plan on taking a cruise from Singapore and need to stay 1 night with my family in a hotel for the night before the cruise, I will arriving in the airport, what hotel do you recommend for such a short stay? Thank you!
If you're planning to just have a good rest and get on with the cruise the next day,
I recommend Outram Park area, personally i used Dorset: affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=60453&aff_adid=971590&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-SG%2Fhotels%2Fdetail%2F396992-dorsett-singapore%2F (it's an affiliate link)
Reasons:
1. Directly connected to Outram Park Train station, which is on the green line, very easy to take a straight train from Changi Airport
2. It's also near to both the cruise ports in SG, direct Purple line to harbourfront OR 1x transfer to Marina cruise center
If you're booking via KLOOK you could use my discount code ^^ "DASHINGHEIGHTSKLOOK"
Though you might need to create a new account and set the account's region as SINGAPORE to get it to work..
BONUS TIP:
- if you have the night free to explore, check out Keong Saik road, you might find a nice dinner spot there
- If the morning before your cruise is free, walk down to Everton Park or Chinatown
ENJOY!!!!
Are the trains 24/7? Are my transportation options limited when I arrive after midnight?
nope, the public transport are mostly 5am-midnight.
your options past midnight are limited to private car hire.
I have heard people chilling in the airport until the first bus/train, that may be an option for you ^^
@ you are the best!! Happy to come across your vlogs. This is so helpful. Thank you.
@@loriedlsa I'm happy to be of help to you ^^ have a fruitful trip ahead!
Your videos are really helpful. I have one query, I'm planning to visit jewel on the day i land there. Can i visit it? Or i can visit it only while departure? Im leaving Singapore on road, and it won't be possible to visit jewel if that's the case.
Thank you for your kind words!
Yes you can. After clearing immigrations just go straight to Jewel. The NEAREST terminal is T1!
Hi! I am travelling with two senior Citizens in SG next week, can I pay for their MRT pass using my credit card? Thank you
Hiya, you will need 1 card for each traveller. So you will need total 3 cards
Better buy them an ez link card. While you can use your cc. Can be used also in convenience stores. 😊
Hello, I'm arriving in T1 with Emirates. Where can I find Emirates chauffeur service cars?
heya i dont know if there is a dedicated Emirates chauffeur spot. I did see some people pay for meet & greet - this way the driver will wait for you at arrival gate after immigration.
If it's a pickup appointment, there is a dedicated car pickup location in T1 B1
Will debit card work instead credit card?
yes debit card works too, as long it supports contactless & visa/mastercard
Thank you for this video. Do you know how I can get a Singapore mobile number?
Bring your identification document such as a passport, and buy a simcard at the starhub/singtel booths or at convenience store 7-11 or cheers :)
HONESTLY you dont need a number in singapore if coming as a tourist. However if you’re staying long term it’s essential
@@dashingheights Thank you!

Yelp, that face, that face, that face represents a face of Singapore??? If you continue to use this face, Singapore will be just another city in Asian, believe me.
