germaineamia yes you can. However semi free form defys the word free from. Free form means no touching. U can half touch or touch a little. Its either or. U either free form or not. Crotchet can b used at any time in any stage.

Kris, thanks for sharing. What's a good daily maintenance routine to keep the dreads from drying out, and keeping the new growth in check with existing dreads. Right now my dreads are dry and stiff. I would like to keep them relaxed, shiny and bouncy. What do you suggest?

I have soft fine hair that takes a long time to loc, at any one time I have at least 3 inches of new growth that wont stay palm rolled. I really need to learn this technique and I have watched your videos many times of the last several months but I still cant do it like you.
