WOW!! Another stunning performance by Joe and the Band. He mentioned from stage this was their 5th night in a row jamming but even that aside Joe and the Band seemed fresh and the show was electric. The parade of vintage guitars toured us thru a night of blues as seamless as always for Joe and the Band.
The house staff that I encountered were all great and the venue is gorgeous! The Palace Theatre is a 2,695-seat restored movie palace designed and built in 1926 by the American architect Thomas W. Lamb. Anyone who has the chance to visit this landmark theatre DO NOT HESITATE !! I shot this show from front row balcony center (actually it was a small section in front of the balcony called 'The Lodge'). The videos may be a little more grainy than my usual 2nd row orchestra seat but all in all I'm pleased.
Hey folks, I post these videos for those that can't get out to see live shows and also for those who can to urge them to go support these venues & bands live. I record the songs with a telephone, "pinch to zoom ' can only go so far LOL. And, as for sound the phones are better than they used to be; too close the bass is over done and the rest is crushed, too far and the zoom is grainy. I do the best that I can. PLEASE if you can, go out and support these groups, stay after introduce yourself, talk about music and feel their passion for it.
