i dont know if i have encountered another artist like susumu yokota, where multiple times I have discovered an entire album of his I've never listened to before to that I really enjoy. the consistency of his catalog for making so many different styles is really amazing.

Was in Japan when this came out. Didn't know it existed but was a huge fan of more experimental stuff like the meguroku "bricolage" style. The most amazing thing about these kinds of vibes is they build euphoria in their own special way. I struggle to find albums that are brave enough to make the same journey.

this guy had such an ear for sampling. Symbol was the epitome of that, but hearing the little sweet sampled bits here and there on this record just solidifies his talent. truly one of the greats. RIP Yokota-san. ❤
