I breed the yellows here in Australia, it's a massive taboo here cross breeding the 2 colors, people here breed red to red or yellow to yellow. Besides that great video and good information 👍

you say dont interfere whist in the nest what happens when you band them with closed rings?
Thats a great question Michael Bell. I shoulf have maybe been a bit more clear when explaining that part. First of all remember all pairs arent the same you have to know what your pairs are willing to accept and the only way to find out is through trial and error. Most of my pairs will accept banding the chicks by day 9 its very unlikely parrents will abandon. Its not like when they have eggs or are starting to lay eggs. During that time is checking the nest could ve a big problem, but once the chicks reach this age they beg so hard the parrents cant resisnt their natural instincts to go back and feed. Also try to band while the parents are out busy looking for food never scare them away from the nest in order to band. Hope this explains it a bit better.

We are happy to offer two different methods of shipping within the continental US and Puerto Rico, USPS and Airlines like (Delta, United, Alaska and American)
• USPS Express shipping normally takes 1-2 days depending on location. Birds are shipped in well marked boxes and given special care during shipment. They have all they need in the box for safe travel (seeds, water, fruits) The birds will be held for pickup at your local post office. The post office will contact you at the number you give us during checkout once your birds arrive. We only ship birds via USPS express on Monday's and Tuesday's and if temperatures permit. You will receive an e-mail with your tracking number the night before your birds are shipped.
• Airlines shipping using Delta, United, Alaska etc. will deliver birds to most airports that they fly to. Birds will arrive the same day shipped. This service is more costly than USPS. If you choose this method of shipping we will contact you to setup a shipment date and price after your order. Or you can contact us prior to get a quote for this method of shipping.

Will you be shipping birds from your website?
Yes but but for now only within the U.S. its very difficult to export to other countries you need to have quarentine facilities available and alot of paperwork.
