It's a pleasure to watch football played by women. Yes, it's true with the males they would lose 10 to 0 but only due to a question of physical strength. I like the technique and their technique is excellent, the goals were beautiful

Belgiums no9 is brilliant,fast accurate .. . England were not clinical enough, lots of creation but not many goals .Russo and Daly etc just not sharp enough .Misses galore .We were beaten by one player but she was some player

There was nothing overly impressive with Belgium, as England's woeful finishing saved them from a hiding and in reality they were played off the park. They also got the breaks - first goal was not a free kick and- in fact should have been to England and the winner was from a handball penalty - contentious at the best of times.
I don’t go for England but Kelly is a truly amazing player! Her passing, footwork and corners are just awesome!
I'm Belgian, so I support my team. They played to the utmost of their abilities, which is fanasttic, but intrinsically England is a much better team.I wouldn't worry to much, if I were a lioness.:)
I am English and i thought Belgium were absolutely great , full of running and fight and despite winning by a dubious penalty they were excellent ..Great game despite the result ..

@@seawench555 Sam Kerrs goal against England in the WC was far superior to anything in this game. She dribbled from half way, against 2 defenders and drilled it from 25 yards. More talent in Kerr than on display in any of the goals in this game

That was a helluva game! England didn't take their chances, Belgium did. It was a close game, and those acting like Belgium blew England out, are trippin'. 2-2 until the 85th minute ending 3-2? Close game. Belgium were firing on all cylinders on attack, while England's attack wasn't. Great game nonetheless.
For me, the handball penalty was lucky because it was a defensive reaction, you can see her flinch. She even kept her elbow down by her side, but raised her forearm in front of her in a defensive posture. Definitely hand-ball contact, but she was hardly flailing an outstretched arm at the ball, she flinched lol. So -imho-, that's lucky for Belgium. But great, hardfought win by Belgium for sure.👏

great match loads of turn around playmakers from mid/wingers to make the offensive plays, but defense needs to pick up the pace & start clearing it, not just running side by side next to their striker and letting them past on by effortlessly. loads to build on

I was amazed too after a clash of heads like that with the England player lying still for 14 mins before been taken off in a stretcher .
They are much more stringent now in rugby union with a clash of heads . Both players must go off for a HIA , head injury assessment and rarely do they come back on again .

Handballs in the box shouldn't be rewarded with penalty kicks. It distorts the game way too much. England was knocking on the door for the majority of the 2nd half, and then Belgium get one lucky break, and a 75-80% chance at goal. It's bullshit. Give teams a free kick from the spot of a handball and let the "offending" team build a wall.

I know that Wullaert has been a prolific striker for her national team but strangely I don't have a clue which club she plays for. Great win by Belgium, a classic upset. That counterattack at the end of the 1st half was just the textbook stuff, when it appeared that England were going for the kill

Accurate passes from the deep & perfect through balls by Louisa Necib, Sherida Spitse, Alexia Putellas, Patri Guijarro & Mapi Leon over the years have been exhilarating to watch as a neutral.
System in physical leagues have to change. You can't win games anymore with just 2 or 3 technical players on the field. Turnovers in midfield due to passing errors are getting punished by every team.

What a heavy group this turns out to be! The Belgians stepping up to the next level! But I heard that the winner also qualifies for the Olympics. The trick is that it then will not be an English team but a UK team. So the UK had 2 chances to qualify in 1 group. That stinks heavily.

Earps seems to have a problem with balls approaching her post from afar. Seen it a number of times.
The goal is a lot bigger for 5' 9" keeper compared to 6' 4" plus keepers in men's game.

To reach certain areas such as top and bottom corner of goal, you need both athletism as well as reach. Mary Earps is possibly the best women goal keeper but she could not reach that perfect free kick.
Shocking last night. Russo missing an open goal, Chloe Kelly putting in 300 crosses and only 2 of them were decent. Girls should be embarrassed at that game. Russo should of been off at half time, was shocking last night.
