    Traditionally in Lebanon Shish Barak is usually eaten hot with cooked rice with Vermicelli..
    But if you choose to add rice with the sauce, you could start by cooking the rice with a cup of water first for 10 minutes before adding the yogurt. The yogurt should not be boiled for too long.

    My grandmother was from Lebannon and she used to make this very often. We called it "Sombreritos" (Little Hats) because of the resemblance of the dough with little hats. Thank You for bringing good memories to me.

    Can you use plain store bought yoghurt? And can you make lebanese rice on the side instead of inside the dish?

    • @SmileyGirl230
      @SmileyGirl230  4 роки тому

      Yes sure u can use plain yogurt but make sure the taste of it not sweet it would more tastier if u can buy the yogurt that taste bit sour , also u can serve it with rice and without the dumpling inside , my mum use to cook the yogurt with half cup of rice same way as the video instead of using dumpling and no need to add cornstarch to it .
