Good grief. Have weights sewn into the hems of your dresses and wear a slip. If wearing a large-brimmed hat, have clips put in to anchor the hat to your hair. I learned this in middle school sewing classes.
The reason Diana wore her necklace round her head was because her neck got sunburnt on her walkabout in australia.....her hairdresser suggested it would look OK worn around her head.....this was in the daily mail recently by her hairdresser who was with her on tour......

I was in my early 20's and watched the wedding - it was very much a look for the time, with 'sloan rangers' and 'new romantics'. Very over the top, but it epitomised the era (just a pity about the wrinkles).
They usually put weights in the hem of dresses to keep the skirts from flying up.
I remember wearing a blouse such as the one princess Catherine of Wales. It is fashionista style, go shopping girls !
