30 appearances out of darkness, Arno Schuitemaker, Aart Strootman, 2022 | Holland Festival Parels

Tijdens Holland Festival 2022 onderzoekt choreograaf Arno Schuitemaker samen met zijn dansers vanuit een aardedonkere ruimte alle dimensies die de duisternis te bieden heeft. Aart Strootman zorgt voor de muziek bij Schuitemakers jongste voorstelling ‘30 appearances out of darkness’, die tijdens het festival dat jaar in wereldpremière gaat. In dit fragment gaat Nadia Moussaid in gesprek met Schuitemaker, lichtontwerper en scenograaf Jean Kalman en de dansers.
During Holland Festival 2022, choreographer Arno Schuitemaker and his dancers explore all the dimensions that darkness has to offer from an earth-dark space. Aart Strootman provides the music for Schuitemaker's latest performance '30 appearances out of darkness', which has its world premiere during the festival that year. Naar aanleiding van het 70-jarig jubileum (2017) en het 75-jarig jubileum van Holland Festival (2022) hebben het festival en de VPRO onder de naam ‘Holland Festival Parels’ een duurzaam online platform ingericht. Het publiek vindt hier korte televisiefragmenten uit en over producties, die het Holland Festival de afgelopen zeven en een half decennia in Nederland presenteerde. Deze televisiefragmenten van diverse publieke omroepen zoals de NTR en VPRO zijn vaak eenmalig op televisie te zien geweest. Ze zijn nu als hommage en als online archief beschikbaar gemaakt.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary (2017) and the 75th anniversary of Holland Festival (2022), the festival and the VPRO have set up a sustainable online platform under the name 'Holland Festival Gems’. Here, the audience will find short television excerpts from and about productions presented by the Holland Festival in the Netherlands over the past seven and a half decades. These television fragments from various public broadcasters such as NTR and VPRO have often been shown once on television. They have now been made available as a tribute and as an online archive.
