I put an older Fisher plow on the front of my XR4140. It still has left/right functions using the rear outputs along with all normal bucket type movment. I have a gravel road and crushed rock driveway as well. I'd love to show you my setup. Works amazing, and uses the quick attach for easy mounting.

Thx for the honest review with the good, bad and ugly. Gotta love easements. I have an XR4140HC with the 72 inch front mounted LS blower. The midmount pto makes it possible.

Thanks for the review. I think if I ever replace my rear snowblower I will look at the inverted style.

I really do like it! The issues are small considering how well it does and how quickly it does it. Thanks for watching!

My LS MT357 tractor (evolution of the XR41xx) has a couple of features in the rear hitch area which you might appreciate. They would alleviate a couple of your struggles.. First: A mechanical clutch on the PTO, so one can rotate the PTO shaft to align with an implement that's difficult to impossible to rotate by hand. Second: 3 rear hydraulic remotes.

I thought about upgrading, but the wife prevented that. Those upgrades would certainly help! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Hey Nick
I know you are a very good fabricator so a suggestion for the rock throwing. Why not get some conveyor belt and put it on to and around the 3 pt so that it knocks the rocks down?

I was considering making some panels out of sheet metal for the top. Hanging some conveyor belt or mesh hanging down in the front. Might be a summer project. Thank you for the suggestion and the kind words!

I use a hydraulic 86'' blade on FEL until I get a good enough ice/snow base before I use my 68'' MK Martin blower. I don't use mine at all if there is visible gravel, it is just an inaccurate shotgun then.

Get a two inch PVC pipe and cut a slit down one side and slip it onto the cutting edge, and your blower will pick up a lot less gravel. It is best to cut it with a metal cutting blade on a recip or jig saw. I will have to make a video of my blower to show how good this works.

How well will it pick up the snow though? Sounds like a good idea! Thank you!

@@TractorsNStuff The mindful homestead did a video on it, it picks up the snow no problem. It will leave behind a thin layer of hard pack snow, but because the pipe is round it will glide over the gravel, unless you have golf ball size or bigger rocks.

I noticed that you put the tool box back on the right side of the tractor at the third function solenoid what mod did you have to do and will the step just bolt on to cover it

I took the valve off the bracket, and bent the bracket so the valve would be under the cab more. This allows the step/tool box to be bolted back on with enough room. The bolts go through both the step and the bracket.
