Janice, I do love your chatty, natural videos like this one, where you are just sharing your life with us. It's very generous of you, and so enjoyable and heartwarming to watch. You and Jennifer are both such lovely people!
Loved this video! You are very blessed to have a wonderful relationship with your daughter loved hearing her sweet and sincere answer of how she was happy because you are happy what a wise young woman you did a good job raising her. I admire you so much. I just had a birthday December 16th I turned 66 can’t believe I’m that old but I love watching you and how confident you are as an older woman. I hope to be more like you.
Thank you for sharing your Christmas adventure with me! I didn't see my son this christmas. He is an Anglican priest in Milan. He used to live in England. The price of airline tickets makes it hard. I like to watch you because I can learn information about living abroad . I enjoy being in Europe. Happy New Year.
My biggest holiday challenge is having enough strength and energy to do all the preparations for my annual party . When we get older it gets harder ! I know my family appreciates the fun times so I will continue on until I can't .
Hello from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I stayed up to watch this. Your daughter is indeed a cutie. 😊 So glad she was able to visit you. York is an amazing town. I visited for about a week and the route to the rental apartment went through St Mary's Abbey! So magical 😍 Thank you for your vlogs 💕
My sister who lives in Hawaii and I live in Annapolis Maryland USA told me to watch your channel and I love it ……I’m 72 and I give you so much credit for moving to a different country not knowing the language with two pets to start the second part of your life. You are very entertaining and you look like my youngest sister very much.. I’m glad you got to spend Christmas with your daughter and I wish you a very Happy Healthy New Year…
Janice you are my favorite! You bring so much joy. ❤ I love these chatty very “normal” vlogs. It’s enjoyable, but mostly it’s just you. Much love Janice.
Loved the video janice I'm 73 we are both the same age, well till February ,you where so brave to change your life completely ,I really am enjoying adventure you are on ,You had a great Christmas I'm glad to say ❤❤
Ah great Video.... You tell a great story about my old city Londonxx Betty's tea rooms are Legendary!!! nice to see you both again even though I spent Christmas eve with you and Chrismas day with you two! I think it's amazing you have done a video with Jennifer. My daughter wouldn't be seen on a UA-cam video ever!! Well done Jen! What a fun video. I'm watching in bed after my French live😅 ❤❤
The title of this video confused me---- Looks like you had a most wonderful Christmas and your daughter is so beautiful and poised. YORK is just lovely--so glad you shared it with us.
Thanks for sharing this video. I felt like I was visiting you in person and just listening to you talk about your trip. I look forward to more videos from you.
Janice, that was really cute and I appreciate this window into your special time together. I’ve been to York and Betty’s Tea Room and you brought back those lovely memories. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May 2025 be filled with blessings and good health.
Janice, Jen is so lovely. I know you are enjoying your visit so much. You've been planning for this for quite some time. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Texas. Alyce
Thank you for this wonderful video Janice. Its Christmas time and it brought back some very warm memories of my mum and I when we travelled to the UK. I was born in the UK but we left when I was 15 months old. Also an only child I had that special relationship with my mum. She had always wanted to return to the UK (she loved it) and show me where I was born. We were able to do that back in 2006. Sadly it was her bucket trip as mum's cancer had returned. We had an absolutely marvelous time and I saw where I was born. It was sooo beautiful. As we grow older we cherish more our time with our children. I did and am so happy that you can too. Much love, Susan
With the fabrics now it's pretty easy to travel light. Most can be rinsed out in the shower if needed and dry over night. I wear a cami under my tops and wash that every other night, and that keeps all my tops clean unless I slop something on them during the day. So if you don't need a lot of extra stuff, like sadly I need meds and a few other things, a back back is a pretty good way to go. I never miss Fortnum and Mason, and especially at Christmas. Their Blood Orange Marmalade is to die for.
Loved your video Janice and having your lovely daughter as part of it. From the title I was expecting some drama involving the boyfriend but it wasn’t that at all. I don’t think he was in the video except the back of him? Never learned his name either - just referred to as the boyfriend, but that’s ok! Happy New Year!!
So glad to see you had a wonderful Christmas. Love the earrings your friend gave you. I’ve made a mistake like that getting the times mixed up. LOL Keep up the French lessons, the best way to learn is live in the country, which you already do! Bonne anne🎉……….🤗🇨🇦
Somewhat new to your channel. … have you done a video on what you eat in your day. ? You’re so healthy looking and everyone thinks the US food is awful for us. Would like to see what you eat in a typical day in France.
Oh goodness well since it’s Christmas time and holidays I haven’t done too well on that but before that I eat 3 cups of vegetables survey and I don’t need any carbs and I don’t need any bread for 6 ounces of protein today
Happy New Year Janice! Glad you had a lovely time in London with your lovely daughter. I just don't understand the title of the video "Surviving My Daughter's Boyfriend" you hardly mentioned him, nor (really) showed him on the video. Is it possible that what you meant by the title is that you are feeling replaced by her boyfriend? Mommy loosing her baby girl? I can certainly understand that. I felt the pain when my kid fell in love and pushed away from me.
I loved seeing and hearing from Jennifer. You have a wonderful relationship. The UK ended their retirement visa. You need to have £2 million to invest or be sponsored by a company. I tried! I love France too though. 😘🇫🇷
what happened to lighting the rum cake? What happened to the boyfriend? Why did you not introduce him or in the least post a photo? Sounds like he is a fly in the ointment or wanted by the law?
No, but some people like their privacy. This is why you don’t hear me mention his name. The young lady didn’t tell us when we bought the cake that we had to also buy rum and I didn’t want to spend any extra money on rum since I don’t drink rum sorry if I disappointed.
Biggest holiday challenge is my adult brother who has Oppositional Defiant Disorder and rocks up with his family. He’s 51 and has never had a real job and helps himself to resources that are not hhis. He is spiteful and vindictive and extremely unreliable. He was suppose to be leaving today but I discovered last night that his passport is out of date and he’s staying until he can get a new one. I am a teacher and this was all my holiday with my elderly parents ruined. He ruined my birthday also. I cannot stand him. So, that’s my Christmas drama. I have been praying for decades.
@@Stamour79 I don’t want to put his name on the video and I will address that later but the first thing people are going to go do is Google and I don’t want his family to be involved or be looked up or anything like that I just don’t think it’s fair to him. It’s just preferable to call him the boyfriend and not use his name because everybody’s gonna try to look to see who he is and he’s just a nice guy.
