Today chopping wood for a fríend. Monday taxes come out but no money to cover it. I feel so disappointed. We are honest. But we are financing wars abroad now.

How are we to know what energies are from God, and which are imposters? In the absence of spiritual fathers, how do we avoid being misled? Coming from a place of practicing stillness outside the Church (no idols, gurus, mantras), I'm fairly certain the lion's share of my experiences I believed to be from God were deceptions. This seems like a potentially dangerous path to attempt. St John of the Ladder states in the first chapter of his text, that for the average person living a simple, virtuous life in the world in communion with Christ and the Church, he is not far from heaven. Please forgive me, but how are we to proceed with caution and humility?
@@cpSharkBlast not all priests practice hesychasm. I don't anymore. I'm curious why one would risk the damage that it can cause the soul when you can live a god-pleasing life without it
I don’t know if you’ll see this but one of the videos you said noetic prayer is an active receptivity to God. In another video you said passive receptivity. Which one is correct? I’m leaning towards passive but want to make sure if anyone can help. Thanks
Do not react, do not resent, maintain inner stillness. David/writer of the Psalms does not sound as if he is not reacting and maintaining inner stillness. Please explain.
I pray daily now. On rising and before bed. It helps a lot with my nerves. 🙏
Thank you, Vladyka ☦️🙏🏻
Thanks Father.
Thank you! Listening, learning, praying in Washington state.
Hello Vladyka from Athens Greece.
I have heard that the opposite virtue to envy is love.

Lord, have mercy on us all during these difficult times. ☦️

David authored the Psalms, but was not the speaker in all of them. Look into the christology of the Psalms.
