Jousset is my very favorite house for gourmands. I’m so sad to hear you don’t smell the peach and apricot. It’s so beautiful. It’s crazy how we all interpret smells differently. Have you tried the Almond cake? I thought that one was even better than Madeline. Nice to see you again today.
Yes 🙃 they were completely absent for me and I'm a HUGE fan of peaches and apricot anything 🤗 Glad you enjoy it! Haven't tried the almond cake yet, must v try since I Love the original so much! 🥰
Lol!! Sounds like you had quite a time with that one! 😂 I also wanted to let everyone know that if you are having longevity issues with Jousset Accident a la Vanille (the og), I pair her with Kyse's Delizia di marshmallow (one spray of each) and I can smell it ALL DAY!! it's my fave combo for Accident a la Vanille!
Ohh it's so strange how perfumes works so differently and gives different perception.. I absolutely love accident à la vanille madeleine de proust.. To my nose it's just a bomb of apricot, peach, vanilla, and i get this buttery vibe, i love it so much.. It's so creamy thanks to the coconut... But I do agree, there's a note, like a menthol note in the midd that I get (like the smell of aiwaves the "chewing gum" lol) but it fades away and I just have on the drydown this beautiful vanilla scent so rich and long lasting.. I do prefer madeleine de proust over the og (but perception are so different) .. Love your review😘❤
Yesss!!! It is all so very interesting to me this skin chemistry phenomenon! You're not the first person to be able to bring about the beautiful apricot and peachy tones from the fragrance. So glad you're able to enjoy it! 🥰On me personally, that background note is very prevalent, amplifies the coconut and doesn't allow me to enjoy the fruits or creaminess🙃 What a bummer! Lol Thank you for confirming there is an interesting background note! Ty for watching!🤗💕
I just bought Madeline and I’m in love!!! It’s a peach 🍑 coconut 🥥 bomb 💣 something I sampled and had to buy a full bottle!! I haven’t tried the original yet but I need too!!😊
Ooooh, Janelle! You're getting so close to 3,000 subscribers! I estimated it would take you half the time to get from 1,000 - 3,000 that it did to get your first 1,000, and you are totally killing that estimate! I'm so proud of you! Well...this is a great example to me of my blind buying anythnig. Those notes sound so amazing! This is right up my alley and couldn't possibly be anything but stunning! What could possibly go wrong? I'm so disappointed that there is no apricot or peach. I'm disappointed that the butter is so pronounced. I'm disappointed that coconuts are going to be thrown at my head. I'm disappointed that it went somewhere into the soap realm. Now you have to go find us a fragrance that smells like this one is supposed to. Any ideas? Does ANYONE have any ideas where we can get a scent that smells like this one should?
Yess!! Ty so much for your support and calculations and keeping milestones in mind! 🥰 You help make this hobby so much fun!! This right here completely missed the mark for me, but there are a few others who did get the peach. Maybe you'd be one of them as well? Dare to risk getting smacked by a coconut and find out?!😂 To achieve what I had envisioned this scent giving, I would combine Dulce Diablo with Accident a la Vanille!! ❤️
Oh, wow. I get loads of apricot and some peach in the opening. Even still, in the mids, I can smell them. I don't pick up coconut quite so much as you and the base smells like buttery cookies. I just received a decant and am sampling today and it's soooo beautiful! I wonder if there are major differences in batches or if maceration plays a role. So interesting.
That sounds like exactly what I was expecting! 🤗 Enjoy! I just smelled it again and it's giving the same for me.🥴 Maybe the batches do have something to do with it.
I was inundated with anticipation! I really wanted to hear a comparison with the other peach beauty Dulce Diablo. 😢 Sorry it did not translate well on you. Thank you for testing it!
OG accident a la Vanille is one of my favorite vanillas. I wish I could live in a bubble of it but it does not last on my skin 😭 I have found that it works better when I apply to my winter scarf and wrap that around me. Maybe it’s because I live in colder area? What’s temp where you are? Is it warm weather? It’s 20s to 50s where I am. Original smells like melted butter with vanilla and sugar to me 🤤🤤🤤
Oh my, I am in a very warm climate the majority of the time. Still love to try everything out though because you never know, but I can see how the cold might affect this one! It was less pronounced than the Madeleine de Proust version. Enjoy!!🎉💕
@@docm5314 yesss, hopefully you'll get a better wear out of it then! 🤗 As for the flanker, there's a couple of people that have mentioned it worked beautifully for them, not my case unfortunately.😅 It has the longevity for sure though!
Sounds wonderful even if you had to go light for the plane ride, that's very considerate of you because it's a tight space. I've only been on a place twice, but both times I went light with the sprays as well.🤗 I remember on one flight someone sprayed some VS body mist and that lingered in the cabin for forever! It smelled wonderful, but I could tell some people were bothered.
@janelle-scenttalkfrommycloset I spray in cabina sometimes close to my chest to try to contain it but I think at least some nearby 👃 can perceive aroma. I also take a roll-on sometimes because of a lesser projection. :)
i loooove Jousset. I have a strange story iam still trying to figure out at the moment. I had ordered jovoy from lucky scent and one of the samples they sent with was accident a la vanille. I loooved it! It was so rich and buttery. Ive been out of the sample for over a month and i can still smell the buttery richness is the bottle. Then i ordered the madeleine because i was intriqued by the peach notes. To me they smelled similar ( obviously, madeleine i was getting that peachiness but the dry down smelled a little potpouri-ish. Sooo i ordered a travel size of the og directly from the jousset site. When i got it, it smelled different. i love it and its still a rich vanilla but its not buttery like the very first sample i received. from luckyscent. Now im confused what was actually sent to me. I want to order a full bottle of the buttery one but now i dont know what one that is. Ughhh! Maybe they had mislabeled their samples. anyway i just ordered today a sample of the flanker limited edition almond cake. im excited to try that one. The end lol
I've noticed that depending on the "age" of some samples, they will smell differently. The Accident a la Vanille sample I got from luckyscent was heavier in scent than the full bottle. It's been a couple months since I've had it and it's starting to smell like the first sample I tried. When fragrances are handmade artisanal , they tend to need more time to macerate. Hope you like the almond cake flanker! I think I'll try it as well.🤗 Ty for sharing! 💕
I do have a sample of this, but it didn't make it past the patch test. It has smoke leather and oud which are tricky for me. If I get brave to do a full day wear, I'll update you! 😊
Hi there, ty for your interest! The full day wear test review will be up later today for Sweet Escape as well !🤗 You can view or purchase here: preproductionperfumery.com/product/janelle-sweetescape/

I love it but wish it was stronger! It vanishes on my after an hour, or two but I get a lot of buttery biscuit, delish and hubby loves it on me x
The scent is delicious, I agree!! 😋
I bought it for my wife and she and I absolutely love it. Like the best butter pastry. It’s much better then the OG imo
Nice! I've seen it work out for a lot of people, including a friend that has identical taste to me. Enjoy!
