I just learned, and thought I would share, that Bourbon is a geographic reference to where the vanilla beans are sourced in the Bourbon Islands in Madagascar…so I’m assuming that Madagascar vanilla and Bourbon vanilla are basically the same thing. I LOVE vanilla perfumes so I am looking forward to trying some of these 😀

Not exactly ;) If I may. Bourbon refers to l’île Bourbon, which is the other name for “l’île de la reunion” So you have the vanilla from Madagascar and you have the “vanille bourbon” from l’île de la réunion :) They are both vanilla planifolia but not from the same island. Fun fact on the reunion island the pollination is hand made (I’m not sure if they do so in Madagascar)

There are over 150 types of vanilla, but mainly five used in perfumery. Correct, bourbon vanilla has nothing to do with the booze (an American whiskey). It’s actually more cookie/cupcake type vanilla 😘
I love Vanilla 28, Vanilla Woods, Libre/intense. Returned Mon Guerlain and Olympea immediately. I'd definitely add mix bar Vanilla Bourbon to this list!
Fantastic vanilla collection, Jax! Guerlain SDV, Micallef Note Vanillée, Jousset Accident A La Vanille, Indult Tihota, and Jovoy Fire At Will are my top 5 vanilla scents, but I realized I have about 10-13 more vanilla fragrances. I also only started my vanilla collection in September of ‘22. 🥰🥰🥰
It was hard to concentrate because I was mesmerized by this gorgeous eye look! 🤩🤩🤩 Fantastic lineup of vanillas! My favorite vanilla depends on the day and mood but lately Absolute Aphrodisiac has been rocking my world. 💖

Dama Bianca is my baby too! Mon Guerlain broke the mold of using lavender in mens fragrances only. It’s so pretty and I’ve been craving it lately. I never journeyed down the flankers for it. You’re the best, Jax! 😘🤍💕☀️
Hi Jax! I'm a "vanilla fan wannabe" lol. I've struggled with this note, and have missed out on many beautiful fragrances. After sampling MOLINARD's Vanilla Fruitee, I recently bought it. It's not the most sophisticated perfume, I have enjoyed wearing at home very much. From initial spray to dry down, it has an air of being in a candy store, you leave; and clothing and hair retain that sweet fragrance. The Vanilla is very prominent, along with the scent of dried fruits. To my surprise, it has exceptional longevity. I love the wafts of perfume. I have also worn it to bed and could smell it in the morning. This is very inexpensive at around $39 for 3oz (the perfumespot). Francine

Coco Vanille is heaven but I am in love with the peach in that one, I find it prominent but I found as it has sat for such a long time it’s definitely become more fruity 👌🏽😎 I agree it’s a beautiful tropical summertime staple ❤
The only vanilla forward fragrance I own is Whispers in the Library. I love how woody and spicy it is, I can't take anything too sweet, but I am always curious to know what people love

I love vanilla. I can wear my heavy vanillas in the heat (I live in a dry climate), too. As long as they aren’t blazing with heavy amber or benzoin, I can wear most vanillas all year. Having said that, I’m looking forward to wearing Dama Bianca & Idole Aura when the heat is on outside. 😊 I do try to wear the lighter ones in the summer.

Oh I need that Mancera Coco Vanille! Love 🥥. Libre le Parfum is by far my favorite flanker! I feel like it has the most vanilla, the least lavender, honey to sweeten it up, and that added saffron/ginger gives it a hint of spice. I guess I'm more of a flanker girl 💕 Actually same goes for Black Opium le Parfum. That vanilla...wowza. Beautiful. But not strong unfortunately. You have so many I want to try!
I love Dsquared want because it's more a powdery, almost textured less cakey vanilla but not cloying. I have vanilla 28 and my husband says I smell of cake fresh out of the oven 😂 is that good?! Not sure 😂
I love Vanilla Vibes so I am dying to try Olympea! Is it sweet and tropical at all? I love my niche vanillas but a cheap vanilla that I have purchased again and again is from Victoria's Secret called Creme Cloud. It's like a fluffy vanilla meringue but with some pepper so I find it quite unique. It was one of my signature scents before I started collecting. Really enjoyed Jackie! 🥰
Olympea does have sweetness from the vanilla with an amber vibe. It’s very salty though so definitely get a sample. It’s not a safe blind buy, but it’s one of my all time favorites!
I do feel comfortable wearing this makeup out in my life and have many times. I also feel comfortable wearing no makeup, and often do that as well. It really just depends on the day and my mood.

I really like Libre le Parfum and go back and forth if I’ll buy it. I have a travel spray and it is quite stunning!
