I bought scum 7d ago, played one for like 3h, happy to learn a lot, 5.1kh Rust player, but it was about time for a new game. My granpa had to survive eating little animals back in ww2, 17yo boy from Spain, "taken to Russia" ; scaped and helped many scape, came to the caribbean, survived 7 assasination attemps from our Dictator Trujillo and could shoot to kill him, from a friday it was moved to a Wednessday, but at least the modified for extra letality; guns and ammo, where those upgraded by my grandpa. Glad I can play the hardest game there is. Life to easy rn, I like challenges. Cheers from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, at the Caribbean!~ o/ I like every video I've clicked of yours, keep the good work rolling!~ Seems your virtual real state is the best from all vids of S.C.U.M. also knowing its increasing your wealth for w/e amount that is, brings me satisfaction.
Good easy base set up. Always easy to upgrade to that base. Get a lock on the cabin to set up a bed and chest and work your way up to making your built base.
I have learned that the best thing to do about an online raid is have some weapons stored outside of your base. So you can sector spawn and attack vulnerable players standing outside of a wall they are trying to blow up or pick.
My issue is flag placement while building the base. I build honeycomb with the flag in the middle. I don’t typically keep a car as a solo it’s tough to keep safe. The honeycomb you can put almost anywhere.
I am a new player and i watch a lot of your videos, my preference at least now is a cabin in a non poi area that noone goes near because there is nothing there. We added 3 doors before the cabin door that we will make them concrete and also we got the outer walls that also will be concrete. So whoever wanna go inside our base ( that actually has nothing worth it anyway) will need to blow 4 doors or picklock 15 golden locks with zapers and we already got 2 bcu locks as well. That all is just to have fun because we choose a low pop server anyway to learn the game. I would like to try join your servers later as a solo too...
Your gonna get raided eventually no matter what, the best thing to do is to find a car working car, find a kinda secluded area and build a small house (2x3 or 2x2) with a wall around it. Then use the car to get the surrounding wall up to teir 5 asap. Then work out from there with another wall. Then effectively neutralize the bases in the surrounding area and scare them to another part of the map. So far if someone wants to get to our main loot they have to go through 15 gold locks or 3 layers 1200 hp teir 3 walls, and since the base inside is small no one really thinks there could be much loot in there. Because most of the base elements are in the walls.
Also small bases don't stop people (and us) from raiding. My team for example don't mainly raid for the loot, we raid to show a force of power saying "well keep doing this till you move your base" if we disarm people one by one we can be untouchable. This is the bigger picture people don't talk about, make people move as far away as possible without them knowing where you are.
As you say there are many ways to protect your base or build it to make it harder to raid. My only suggestion would be to try and have some form of cover over the top of the base as planes are back in the game and their main use seems to be as a base spotter. Many tricks to base defenses without using exploits. Use your imagination. You won't make it impregnable without some form of exploit but you can make it seriously costly LOL
Also, the smaller the base looks, the better. Make it look like it's worthless to raid for a bigger squad. That way you are only competing with other solo/duo's, and they won't get in due to lack of resources.
Problem is you actually need to build the outer wall with the 0.5m sections to make it costly to blow in. This isn't a problem for large squads with a high building element limit, but for a solo it's VERY hard to build in the small sections and keep under their 100 elements. IMO they should limit the number of elements to the flag, not the number in the squad, and you need to then buy expansion packs to increase the size, which is easier for a squad to farm cash and buy.
Its any way to play just with your friends in server? Scum is a very good game, but for casual players, who sometimes don't log in for a few days, there is no way to play on the official servers.
There is a ton of private servers out there, open for everyone. You might have to look around a bit for a server you Like but you will eventually find one where you like the settings and the people.
Thanks for the video, I put my settings almost the same, but my resolution is 3840 x 2160 and most big games don't run well for me with that setting. The in game texts and stuff is very small since I use a 120hz tv as a monitor 2 meters away from me. (yes I got a weird pc setup) I feel like it would also improve my performance a lot if I lower the resolution in my case. Do you think I should?
My buddy been hounding me to play this for what seems like forever, going into it solo at first but will be playing with our buddies soon. I plan on being the guy that goes out and gets shit for everyone to use.
will you be adding padlocks in the trader on 0.95?... as a solo ita really difficult to stande a chance against good lockpickers... having padlocks in the trader would give ability to "relock" our base again after being raided on weekend and we are not forced to move after raiders desteoyed all the padlocks, and squads that play all day will have gold locks everywhere and solo wont raid them anyway... initialy i liked the idea of padlocks being very rare but after 2 wipes it seems to me to cause to imbalance between solos and sqaud with good lockpickers... having the option to reinforce our small house after being raided so we are not forced to move somewhere else could be beneficial o believe
No id like players to move around the map more. You can find dail locks and advanced locks at many places. Hospital is a great spot. Remember the BCU locked that you will be able to buy with the smartphone batteries then you can just repair what they blow through
Try my True Immersion Server that is build anywhere. If you play single player it's nice as well but on normal servers with base building restrictions on its quite limiting.
@@Luthais I am trying my hand at running a small server, testing ideas, and such. I idea of a water base, interests me, and with your experiance, i was looking for pointers.
As long as you have enough time you can raid any base. The mechanics of the games are very vulnerable to offline raids. This is a huge problem and will probably never be solved. The best Base is no Base!
