The F-Stop Tipola: Is This The Best Backpack for Portable Ham Radio?
Вставка

- I have been researching backpacks lately. I wanted a backpack large enough to carry my QRP portable radio equipment for either POTA or SOTA activations. The backpack had to organize all my gear into a single case with separate compartments. I wanted easy access into the pack for fast equipment setups and the ease not going through multiple bags to cases looking for equipment. I recently purchased a F-STOP Tilopa 50L backpack because it had features that met my criteria. To date, I have only packed gear into the backpack and at this point I like how I can organize all my gear into one case. In this video I introduce the F-Stop Tiplopa and show how I am packing ham radio equipment into the backpack as well as some thoughts I have.

...... enabler........ hihi.... Doug, you know I have an affliction for bags.. Thanks for the video.
You and me both! I have issues ,HIHI !
I had to pause the video when you said about the price of the bag. 🤣
Nice detail description of what you got inside. 😊
😁 😆 I am sure I change the what goes where in the pack after a few activations, plus I have other radios too that will change the inside of the case dramatically. I like that the case is easy to change for different size pieces of equipment .
Love those little Kifaru pullouts...I need to pick some up and those I can actually afford!
The Kifaru pullout bags are fantastic and well designed. I have had these for ~6years and not a tear or issue with the zippers! Highly recommend them for easy access pullouts .
I love the organizational features on that bag. But the price! Yow!
I really like how this bag organizes equipment which is a huge plus in my book . However the price is a major issue with me. $499 is a bit steep. I will be testing over the next week and giving my honest opinion about the performance of the pack.
Nice pack! I have an issue with bags as well. My wife has a term for it that I will not use here LOL! It will be interesting to see how the pack works out for you. I would like to hear your long term opinion on the PD power banks. 73, Patrick KF4LMZ
😆 i definitely be giving an update on this pack . So far the 21aH power pack has been flawless since January 2024.
have you looked into lowepro camera backpacks? they have a good selection at a better price, in my opinion. thanks for the video
Yes was looking at the PRO 55L , which is ~the same price as the F-stop. The Pro-55L carry case for my radio equipment was way too small for what I was looking for. Tnx for the suggestion and watching .
