Lmao!! That's what I said to a man that put a GM 350 in a restored Ford truck. Now that I have owned all 3 brands. The Hellcat motor is the best of the 3 brands. More power, more torque, more power potential and better quality. You literally get what you pay for and GM engines are cheap shit. 😂 I do agree that generally it's sacrilegious to transplant another brand of motor other than the same manufacturer into anything. If you think about it. Does it really matter? Results are the still a V8 that delivers buff horses to pavement. Which is 100% American.
@@mackjones7688 Ford makes Superior engines to both GM and Dodge but I would take a General Motors V8 over a Dodge V8 any day. But on that note I still would take an import made engine over all of them for a daily driver dependability machine.
@@kskip4242 I would take a Cummins built up by Dave's performance or even any Domestic improved by Dave's Performance over any import. I am 100% certain that Dave or even any reputable engine builder can improve any import engine too. All 3 manufacturers GM, Ford, and Dodge make "good" engines. Each has a "grail" motor. Properly maintained. All of them can exceed 300k miles. But since I OWN all 3 brands currently. I know how each brand is. Only a fool would say GM is superior to Dodge motors. It's not fact and it's not historically accurate. Ford motors aren't "superior" either. The brand that makes the most power and torque is "Dodge". That's why I like them. The Hemi is expensive because it's high quality. Ford is more expensive than GM engines for the same reason that Dodge engines are more expensive. Less popular in the after market. Better quality. You get what you pay for right? Do who is cheapest? GM. They are good cheap power. They are popular and aftermarket engine parts are more affordable. That doesn't make it the "best". Imports aren't all that great anymore and they aren't built much better than a "domestic". Dodges from the early 2000's for example have a ton of Denso electronics, Motorola computers, holley throttle bodies, etc. Which means they have superior quality components as OEM to Ford and GM. AC Delco electronics and Delphi crap on GM just doesn't hold up for 20 years like Japanese made electronics do. The big 3 collaborate and collaborated all the time through the years. Ford's engines were made by Dodge in it's early years. As an example. New Process Gear makes transfer cases and was joint owned by GM and Chyrsler. Chrysler kept New Process Gear and GM sold it's interest. You can still find New Process Gear transfer cases on GM's, Fords, and "Dodges". Dana Spicer makes driveline and suspension components for many manufacturers. So at the end of the day. You are essentially getting almost the same crap no matter what you buy. Almost. GM cuts the most corners. They always have. It's just fact. Especially with their Trucks. Which is all I really care about since it's all I own. I have had all 3 brands apart and scrutinized them. GM is overpriced crap. It doesn't sell you a true 3/4 ton truck or a 1 ton truck. Ford and "Dodge" actually sell you what you're paying for when it comes to a 3/4 ton or one ton truck. Now I know you haven't had all 3 brands broken down to basket cases like I have. You probably haven't fixed as many vehicles as I have. I repair ALL brands. I repair diesels, tractors, small engines, and power equipment too. I doubt I can change your mind. But life isn't black and white. Imports are still made by stupid humans and as a corporate entity they are just as guilty as domestic brands of delivering what I call a minimal viable product to customers. None of them are made to my rigorous standards. My philosophy is to keep and use a vehicle for 30 years or more, if not for life. If that's what floats your boat.
I had a 68, it was teal green, chromed out 350, holly 4 barrel, it was mean on takeoff, but it had no topend, had the low gear 3 speed rear end , dual exhaust, posi trac, i miss it, it was sharp
Yep, beautiful 1968 Chevy c-10 with GMC tailgate. Too bad it’s gotta doge motor in it, it could run like the 1955 Chevy with twin turbo 5.3, & it burns out a lot longer. lol. Sad to say, my favorite chevy C-10 1968 model. Cause it has that slow hemi in it.
Is nothing like a 427 big block or 454 these kids today I want to hear that whistling sound I want to hear a big block all carburetor no fuel injection
Supercharger sound is amazing!
Wholeheartedly agree! Supercharger sounds like an Indy racer
With a clutch?! Hell yeah man
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
That is my only gripe with most hellcats. Let me heeltoe downshift that bitch and hear the whine.

Both GM products.. 😂😂
@@oWR3CKL3Zzo a Hellcat engine is from a Dodge moron! 🤣 Dodge is not made by GM lol.

Dude put on a seat belt. 😮😮
C'est incroyable avec la puissance de l'engin ils n'ont même pas mis des ceintures de sécurité adéquat.
There’s a guy in Taylor Tx who has a perfect patina ‘69 C10 with a hellephant crate engine.
Over 1,000 horsepower.
Forgot to mention that it’s also on a roadster shop chassis.
Roadster Shop 👍👍🤗
Sounds amazing
Crazy Truck! Put the full seatbelt on too! Remember the last time you decided to use just the lap belts?

Beautiful
Hellcat motor in a GMC is a crazy combo lmao
Is nothing like a 427 big block or 454 these kids today I want to hear that whistling sound I want to hear a big block all carburetor no fuel injection
Sacrilegious.
Not really he could've put Zl1 camaro engine and stayed family correct. But they give away hellcat motors considering how many get wrecked or stolen
He's just playing with that thing man
Am I the only one that's low key disappointed in the burn out? 🤦🏾♂️
I feel like it needs more tire and four link some weight in the back couldn’t hurt
Einfach nur geile Power
Ein landsmann😂
That's my dream truck. I always dreamt about it having a 632 BBC but a hellcat would do just fine😊
Would you please adopt me?
I can't believe somebody with downgrade a Chevrolet by putting a Dodge engine in it🥺
Same here in Australia. Dudes are putting LS and ford BARRA engines into anything. Crazy shit
It's cool but a d150 ram would have been dope still nasty truck tho
all out of chevy motors ,
To each his own, I guess...
NICE truck 🫡😎💯🙏
Should have put an LT4 in it.
Show
No shit bro..nothing beats a supercharger
And yet no tow hitch? 🤔🤨😐
Should have put a ZR1 engine instead. Or a Z06 and supercharge that if you wanted more power.
Lol....wake up Buddy you must be dreaming. Have you been to the track lately? Mopar dominates.😂
"If you don't mind", I thought you never asked!. But since you asked.
Burnouts are so much better with a clutch.
Fantastic! Weeeee❤
There ya go chebby boys
Stock hell cat motor is going to be the new l.s theres lot's in scrap yard now and you couldn't build a motor with that power for 1/4 off buying 1
Europeans: yah but it’s only fast in a straight line.
Americans: yes but this is America, we don’t have turns.
Just Throttle Induced Oversteer 😁👍👍

JDM
Apparently a Ferrari 360, it worked for Vin
That's a Pure crime don't disrespect Chevy with Mopar come on my dude
The gmc is way more deserving than a slopar motor... any ls would have been a more respectable choice
Инкас аз Самарканд неми илхомакем
I don’t mind
With all these crat motors Chevy has and he puts a he'll cat in a c10 come on man.
Why do I feel like this guy didn't do any if the work
The best thing you could’ve done, got rid of that Chevrolet and put a real motor on the hood
