- Well we had snow wind rain and sleet again I used my hammock at the river bank camp when with my dog Tyson we had a brilliant time some nice sea bass and chicken big thanks for watching

I've been closely following your channel for a couple of years, now, and I'd like to offer a few observations:
You are one of my favorites because you are honest. There's absolutely nothing phony or pretentious about you or your channel.
Dogs read people better than people read people; Tyson says you're a good person.
Tyson has enough personality to have his own channel.
I like, respect, and appreciate that you never try to promote or "review" anything.
If I could afford it, I'd bring you and Tyson to the U.S. for a couple weeks and show you hundreds of thousands of acres of woods that you can set up camp in.
I appreciate that you've long ago stopped using bad language in your videos.
You never let bad weather stop you.
You are the kind of person I would enjoy sharing a campfire with.

I was perusing YT for something distracting, something to forget the health problems, and I see Tyson's big white head smiling from the hammock. I don't care that I watched this the day it came out, I watched it, again. Thanks for all the quiet, peaceful, calming videos that help me get through the day.

A dark and stormy night; a safe and familiar site! The rock wall and manhole cover fire setup helps a lot. So does a good foil packet of real food! We can tell how cold and windy it was by noticing that Tyson spent as much time as possible literally buried in the hammock with its underquilt.
Tyson, has the right idea. "You go ahead and do your thing John, I'm going to stay under these covers and poke my head out once in a while and look cute." I'm glad you lowered your hammock to the ground for that last bit, I've found it really does help in stormy weather. Another great video. Cheers.

Wow, I think our dogs are twins. They look a helluva lot alike!!! Even the same markings under their noses. I've seen a few that look like mine but never as much as yours does. I want to stud mine out but I'm not a big fan of breeding. He's just such a great dog, I'd love to see his bloodline carry on. Hard to believe I got him from a rescue situation. I lucked out, he was only 8 weeks old. He's amazing and unbelievably strong.

I subscribe to many bushcraft and camping channels, but yours is one of my favorites. Your campsites and debris village remind me of the fun I had doing that same sort of thing as a child and teen. One of my favorite parts of all your videos is seeing what's on the menu. I'd love it if you could explore and introduce to us some new and interesting menu options and some cool campfire cooking techniques. I've already decided to try a few of yours out this camping season. Keep up the great content and give Tyson lots of love. That's a pretty great dog you've got.

Brrrrr! That wind and weather looked miserable. I don't know how you do it, but I really enjoy being brought along on your adventures. I know you got Tyson when he was 2 or 3 years old, but is there somewhere you told of his story before you got him AND how he came to you? That dog loves you SO much, it's impossible not to see that. It's also impossible not to see how much the love is reciprocated. He's a lucky dog to have ended up with you. You have some chancy camping spots. I think you like rebuilding your camps when they get washed away. Tyson is so sweet, all bundled up and warm. Snow coming down looks very pretty. Some rough weather. Very nice camp set up. Food looked wonderful. I think you have the reputation of having the best food/cooking at camp. Sweet.

Since watching you...ive got a canopy set up outside my cottage...Chimnea which i hadnt used for years, chairs.. any wood i can lay my hands on...and a tablet... i light my chimnea...and watch you on my tablet till about 10pm always loved the outdoor thing...and as for Tyson......Sleeping Bag Mate!!!

Great video. Your dog is awesome. In regard to your wood splitting technique: try placing the log you’re splitting on the other side of the log it’s leaning on, so if you have a glance off, you’re hitting the leaning log instead of your leg. That fish and ravioli looked amazing.
