living on a farm for a week 🏵🐔chickens & gardening🥒🥬🥚

while my sister and her family were out of town, I got to housesit, which means living for a week on a farm and taking care of the garden and chickens! It's fun to go back to my "roots" (haha) and work outdoors. After a week though I was ready to go back to city life! what's the saying? You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl? Something like that. Easy to jump back into farm work, especially taking care of the chickens, since that's what I did for most of my childhood/teenhood lol. But once it was done, all I wanted was to get back on the freeway and head home to my cozy apartment for snuggles with Cleo. What did I do with Cleo, you ask? Alas, Cleo stayed at my apartment. He spent his nights alone (woe to us both) but I went back and checked him every day during my lunch break at work. He was sassy and irritated without his snuggles, but he forgave me :)
