Lovely . . . too lovely!! I almost expected to hear (the announcer) Bern Bennett's voice saying/announcing: Join us again forrrr . . . The Young . . . And The Restless.
Followed by the Columbia Pictures Television logo, with "A UNIT OF THE Coca-Cola COMPANY" underneath, and A shortened, slightly higher pitched version of the Sunburst music by Suzanne Ciani. The 1976 version was also used on this logo for a long version.
That's just like the 1979 theme to the Channel 10 1980s Australian jailhouse soap opera drama series, Prisoner. It's called 'On The Inside'. Prisoner was done on set at the former Channel 10 television studios in Nunawading, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
@@sandydee8003 Robert Colbert (Stuart Brooks), Trish Stewart (Chris Brooks), Brenda Dickson (Jill Foster) and Julianna McCarthy (Liz Foster) are the only four actors in this recreated opening who were featured in the original cast when Y&R began in 1973. Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) and Jaime Lyn Bauer (Lorie Brooks) were the original actresses in their roles, but they did not appear until months after the premiere.
@PhackFanForever Except, no, it wasn't. The vast majority of the actors featured in te sketches were not even on the show in 1973, and the red-ink Y and R letters were not used until years later.
I would’ve liked to hear Y&R’S theme with vocal, but those lyrics have been kept under lock & key. I would simply NOT want to know what the lyrics say. (Y&R CAST UNDERSTOOD.) KH: BESIDES, WHILE THE Y&R THEME PLAYS, YOU GUYS TAKE TURNS ANNOUNCING: THIS PORTION SPONSORED BY (PRODUCT NAME & SLOGAN, IF NEEDED) FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2023: Y&R PRODUCES 10 STRAIGHT WEEKS OF EPISODES. Thank You So Much !!!!!!! This Version I Like Without The Lyrics
Definitely from 1973. Sounded a lot different than the 1980s closing theme.
Yes, being of July 1983!

Like all your content but here is the 64 thousand question why are 1999 OLTL episodes so hard to come by ?
My oh my, That’s a good question which I don’t have an answer for, sadly. : )
One of the prettiest pieces of music for a soap opera🙂
I Hope You Can Do A Closing Theme For Loving With The 1992 To 1995 Jeffrey Osborne Theme Please
I'm still working a plan on how I'm going to publish it. But once again, Stay tuned!
I think all the drawn portraits are the original cast. Thank you❤️🧼🤭Oops. Maybe not…I think I’ve spotted Jill #2…
No, many/most of the actors featured are NOT from the original 1973 cast. Only four of them are.
@@MattFrame Wow Matt, I rewatched this and you’re right.😅

@@sandydee8003 No problem. I loved vintage Y&R. I remember the show's earliest days more clearly than what I had for dinner last night, LOL!
