Really good video. I bought this exact machine a year ago. Thank you for explaining everything step by step. The machine came with no directions whatsoever on how to maintain. I love my machine. Thank you so much!
your videos are wonderful. I've researched this machine for three weeks and your down to earth videos from just a regular user put me over the edge to buy it.
Please inform me how you like it. Please create about 3-4 coffees before making one you drink. That way you condition the machine. Please play around with the individual settings for your own recipes.
Your unit is not available in the USA. I have the ES3200 LatteGo and have used it for just over a year. Thank you for posting the unboxing video. It was helpful to me as a guide because I needed to re-box my machine to send back to Philips for warranty service. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get years of reliable service out of your new machine. Mine has been nothing but a headache and is always requiring interaction to clear a red light and sometimes all three red lights. This happens nearly every day we use it. The only good thing I can say is that Philips customer support has been exceptional so I am grateful for that at least. Also, be careful with the milk container. We always washed ours by hand, but after a while it started leaking milk from the bottom as taking in apart multiple times to clean weakened the latch on the bottom. Philips did replace it for free but told me that part is not a warranty item. Once my unit is refurbished and returned I'll be looking to replace it if it starts acting up again.
I am aware that the milk unit is an item that I will have to replace once in a while because the rubber will wear off over the time. I bought this machine keeping in mind that all parts that will need service or that might be wearing off over time are replaceable by myself at a very reasonable price. My old coffee machine needed a service for cleaning and maintenance which cost me 320 Swiss Francs every year. You weren’t able to take the brew group out by yourself and I wasn’t able to buy replacement parts. All had to be done by a specialist. If something like what has happened to you occurs whit mine I will create a video about it. Hopefully you will find a solution with yours.
Thanks for for the video, I actually ordered after your first video and got my delivered on Friday and have enjoyed it during weekend. The webshop said they will get in stock January 23 when I ordered, but apparently they got it early 😊
Hi, you should definitely not clean brewing group with a soap and a brush. Water is enough, brush can leave some hair inside the mechanism. Grease should be put on a fully dried unit not on a wet one as you did..

Hello. In the container with the used coffee pads do you find some drops of water? I noticed that after making a cup of coffee, if remove the container to clean it, inside the machine some drops are falling. Does your machine have the same behavior?
Yes, that can happen. Nothing to worry about. In the beginning the pads on my machine were wetter. What is the grinding dial set up to on your machine?
@@choschiba It doesn't show with any indicator. But I will set it to low slowly by turning it towards to 1. The issue is that after making a coffee and turning off the machine some drops of water are stll falling in the container for 1-2 min. So your machine does the same right ?
I will check it. My grinding dial is about in the middle of the scale. I will check if there is still water dripping. As you don’t have eye sight to the container sitting inside the machine I am wondering how you have recognized it? 🤷🏼♀️
@@choschiba After I made a coffee and turned off the machine, I removed the drawer with the container to clean it and then I found drops of water falling inside the empty space where the container should be placed. Great video! I’m waiting for this to be offered for sale in the US. Do you have any regrets about buying the 5400? Based on my research it seems like it’s going to be the right unit for me.
No regrets at all. The only thing that is a bit negative is that it is quite loud when it is doing its thing. But I don’t care 🤷♀️ because the coffee is so good.
@@choschiba Is this because the unit itself is loud, or because it's vibrating a lot? (also transfering the vibrations) ? Say when you brew, and you lift up the machine, is the loudness (much) less?
It’s the hot steam being pushed through the milk container. The machine grinding the coffee and brewing the coffee isn’t louder than my old coffee machine.

Oh, wow. That means that the tray might have overflowed or there might have been a production problem regarding the tray. Maybe the particular batch?
