The best video, I searched because the water was leaking and there wasn't enough coffee, and this video had the answer. Thank you~ I'm surprised at Philips' low durability. I'll have to buy another machine next time.
DON'T take the front off! If you look at the nozzle, carefully remove the left and right chrome parts, then take off the front nozzle part with the logo, lastly there is a little top cover that comes out, I just used a butter knife. Now you can clean the inner (box), I also used a dust spray to nuke the nozzles and any opening. It is kinda disgusting, that so much gunk accumulates in there! It is easy, but be gentle with the plastic parts. I also blew some air into the hose... guitarstring like suggested might work also.
Went through, the whole video. I don't even own one. Still I enjoyed. Troubleshooting is a process you can learn from different products and different issues. Lots of plastic in there…
Thanks Tom, when my coffee-machine broke, I fixed it myself too 🙂. Also, this clogged coffee-outlet can be taken apart, I think you should clean it properly
Super helpful video so I could do the same thing with my Gaggia Cadorna. Unfortunately it wasn't the same issue but was able to clean out the nozzles nonetheless. Thanks for all the details!
Thanks you for the video, it gave me information to find the problem in my case: the o-ring from the brew group which was ripped the water leaked inside.
trick to clean small lumens. acoustic guitar strings. the 3 thickest strings are very good at cleaning and dislodging debris and minerals. these strings resemble the guide wires used for vascular catheter introduction (but cost much less). you can bend the end a little so it rubs in the lumen. these strings are akin to a mini roto rooter.
@@TomsCoffeeCorner yes but the problem remains so thats very strange. So I replaced the broken coffee inlet on the grinder. I can make 1 cup off coffee without any problem but than on the second cup ( after the grind , that all seems to be fine) a loud ticking noise will come from the machine. Strange thing is that when I use the pre-grinded coffee option it's working fine. So only at the second cup when using normal beans it will start ticking like crazy and no coffee comes out. I even tried a whole new brewing unit and same problem....also on the second cup the loud noise like someone is shooting a gun 😁😁. So it's not the grinder, it's not the brewing unit.....I have no clue.
Thank you so much! I’m having the exact same issue. Got my project and video for this weekend. #fixit. Do you think there could’ve been and easier way to just get to the nozzle if you thought that was where the issue was? I know and appreciate you took the whole thing a part to troubleshoot but could I short cut the process of taking a part the whole machine if it’s the same issue? Thanks in advance for any tips and super helpful video. Great job!
Hi. I have a little problm. Those 2 leds on 5400 lattego, are still inside of the body. I can see one of them through the hole, but i dont know how can i take them off and put it into place. Wating for ir answ. A lot of thanks! 🙏
Interesting that despite the machine purging water through the sprout at start up and shut down, the nozzles got plugged. What could have possibly clogged the nozzles Maybe a cleaning with the cleaning fluid ahead of scheduled every 5th filter replacement may have helped.
Hi Tom great video as always! Was wondering if you could review the Illy ground espresso Maschine. Seems like a pretty decent espresso Maschine but no one really reviewed it properly on YT. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I dismantled that front nossle without taking facia out. It's mostly decorative and there is box where coffee comes in and drips out either side. That box fills up with dry out coffee as machine does not let enaugh water through as it cleans out when shutting off. So no need to open complete machne for that.
Also, silicone hose that comes under water pump wears as it rubs against internal wall and starts to leak. Machine makes HUGE noise as pump does not have back pressure because of leak.
@@goran.subotic it is a puzzle, but decorative parts just unclip out and then you can wash bowl where coffee comes as it still is attached to machine. Easy job, just go for it.
My only comment. When you removed the grind nozzle, did you have to make sure that you put it on exactly the same way so that you don't throw off the alignment?
How often does this problem appear in Philips 3200 machine? Do you know cecotec Cremmaet Compact Steam? If so, what opinion do you have about showing up problems? Thank you so much
I use a 43 series device. It does not give water only when pressing Americano. I did lime and general cleaning. It gives it once or twice and then cuts off. Is the problem the valve?
3:20 "water get pressed into beige colored piece and then it goes up into the Brew unit". But how is possible that? Beige colored piece isn't closed at the bottom, isn't it?
Its more like by design; this is an appliance and not a machine. Ironically I know acquaintances who bought proper "coffee machines" only to go buy a new machine when it breaks. In their case the coffee machine came with a grinder built in but when it broke, rather than fixing it, they went and bought a standalone one.
Hey could you help me understand why my Barista Touch Impress isn't pouring evenly on each side of the portafilter spouts. I really want to enjoy a single shot espresso but I'm aware that using the single basket won't be as good an idea. Should I just look at how one of the spouts pours out and just go with the cup that has more in it or should I change something?
@@TomsCoffeeCorner Well I like to shake the portafilter a bit before using the assisted tamping. Should I not bother shaking it? Should I just tamp immediately after grinding? and I believe my machine is level. I'll need to double check
@@LoganScottY Ah yes, the Impress system. I guess you don’t have a lot of room for puck prep, unless you use the Breville funnel and WDT, then remove the funnel and then tamp. But I would check to see if your machine is level first.
I bought 4300, trying to replace my breville 870. I tried all setting, manitience but It will never get a good quality expresso in a rich body and complex flavours like sweetness and fruity taste like Breville or other semi-auto machine. 4300 could make coffee taste better than an instant coffee but far away from any cafe quality, I will say it is not a great extracting like the grinder setting is not fine enough even though it's already the finest in the machine. Grinder approx Philipss 1 = 6 in Breville. please let know If you guys can make great coffee even close to the semi- auto machine with fully auto machine, or just my 4300 having some problems, or which brand and series you are using. Am I asking to much for an auto machine? 😂
If you watch towards the end of the video, you will see the microswitch assembly behind the fascia. The water tray pushes up a rod, which presses against the microswitch. Cheers!

Thanks! I cleaned the nozzle that was completely stuck with your tips! I used a degreaser and toothpicks
any videos you can recommend to do that? Im not gonna do what the guy in this video does obviously

Glad it helped!
