Wow, the first comforting video I have seen when he states people who aren't in protracted withdrawal have safe and effective tapers and come off relatively easily without severe issues. Most of them are interviews with worst case scenarios and they are terrifying.
Yes I am sorry in an effort to raise awareness for these terrible but rare outcomes it can look hopeless for someone looking at this channel. There has not been adequate studies to give you real statistics, but these outcomes you are seeing are very, very rare. Withdrawal is not universal and majority of the time can be handled with a safe taper leading to success and minimal symptoms. The issue I see most commonly is when someone is injured from either getting cut off their medication or tapering too quickly, then their overactive nervous system is so sensitive to anything and reacts in an unpredictable manner even to other medications that used to be taken without issue. These are the patients who can develop protracted withdrawal and have symptoms for months - years and also can take much longer to taper.

I just found you because I have been having neurlogical issues after being on the same dose of Kolopin for 5 years. I ve been on the same dose. Now I am sure the sleeplessness and high anxiety is a much better way to go.
With diagnosed panic and anxiety disorder to begin with, i was detoxed in a hospital in 1 month (coming off of 50mg diazapam to zero). I was released in an absolute state but two good friends stayed with me for a few days and after that, withdrawal anxiety just turned back into the not so severe anxiety i had before. I think if you can, a slow taper could be almost painless mentally, but i can vouch that although it was hell for a couple of weeks it was done with. I think it depends on age and other physical factors, I could easily have had a seizure...had all the back cramps, sweats, nausea, feeling i was dying but it does get better and when totally clear its like getting your life back. I support many others here, go slow and if youve never been prescribed or taken benzos. Do not for more than a week, trust me on this personal opinion and from 7 years on them.
A psychiatrist put me on 6mg of Xanax 16yrs ago. I just decided to stop taking 3 months in and was in an extremely bad state. My psych very casually told me I was addicted. 16 years later I’m trying to withdraw as the government is controlling then so much. I’m having strong suicidal ideation. The doctors are clueless about it, and don’t seem to care about my predicament. I’d have literally been better off getting addicted to street drugs, but I assumed prescribed medication was ok. I don’t know if I’ll make it through, as I want to die. If I do, this is a direct result of the Australian medical system. I am so angry at myself for ever placing trust in them. My girlfriend who lives in Poland has taken Benzodiazepines for over 12 years now, and her doctor is now helping her taper off of them but it feels shocking fast, over a period of only 2 weeks and now she's down to 1mg and was asked to quit this week but she had severe withdrawal symptoms over the weekend. Good question. I' d like to know why none of the 3 drs I had said a thing at all over the 15 years I took it. Thinking it was harmless!
Because they dont want to be sued. If something happens they blame the patient to defend themselves.
Because the goal is to prescribe the medication

I’m on 2mg of clonazepam a day and I wanna just get off like in a month
I am on 1mg daily. But I thinking to taper off in 3 months. You should do it in 3 to 6 months to avoid major withdrawals.
Take into account how long you have been taking it.
Hiii, how is the tapering going? Any insights in doses and schedule?
@@kzzs7383 actually my mother died 12 days ago so I stopped tapering for now
@@Engnieermuhammadalihow long have you been taking 1 mg klonopin
😂😂😂 they wont they me talk b/c its the truth about shady doctors that prescride this.
they wont allow my real comment ..... they dont like the truth about doctors making money off of suffering ppl. dont give it to them just to get paid to take them off.
the original .... they WILL get you addicted so that they can get paid again for having you go through the hell of withdrawl and take the benzo away. Benzo's are a mircle drug for those that dont abuse it. I've been on 12mg for 16 years....you'd have a ball with me trying to take it away. its a do or d!! situation. my depr!!!!!sion says so. so does the 1200mg of Seroq@@@l i take daily.
September was a year for me tapering and i was low enough to jump off but im still in withdrawals. I stopped my dosage on September 26, 2024. So today is about 3 weeks completely off the med. I have been bed bound and still am. I was on this for close to 40 years. It has been horrible. I pray for all of you.
Are you now doing any better?
