With respect to developing and maintaining a balanced perspective on a situation; I find it most helpful in putting the situation into context. For example, If I want to find an effective method to help a child understand his anger, I will usually ask him WHEN is it OK--to be angry, and WHEN is it NOT ok--to be angry. I believe that each emotion or action has a benefit and a disadvantage--depending on the context of the situation. From the aforementioned perspective, it is much more probable that the child will learn to accept his anger by becoming aware of when and where it's both useful and not useful. I am not a health care professional and my comment is just my two cents. Great videos as usual!
