I have started buying sauconys over nikes lately, and I love them. My grandfather had a closet full of them and always said, "These will be back in style in the future." That's was in 98.
My slogan for years has been I was raised by wolves that's why I'm so effed up. I had no idea this brand existed, so TY Sean for creating this video. I had to buy these just for the Raised by Wolves logo, they are $100.00, I like them light and simple...
I recently wrote a story about the evolution of the Saucony Jazz. The DXN (Dixon) Trainer and the Shadow Original have the Jazz in their donor shoe DNA. The DXN is a low stack version of the Jazz that uses lighter nubuck and nylon for upper materials. I go with my Jazz 81 size in the DXN. The Jazz 81 internals are usually bulkier than that Jazz Original, the DXN is heavily padded and narrower because it was design-engineered to be a signature pro level marathon shoe. The Shadow Original is the opposite end of the spectrum to the DXN. It utilizes upgraded suede, mesh and nylon in the upper with a stability clip in the heel. It was design-engineered to be a durable long distance training shoe. The Jazz 81, DXN and Shadow Original are all superior to the NB 574 and 990v1 because Jim Davis, himself, says those NB shoes have a lot of the original running DNA stripped out of them. They look like the OGs, but they are lifestyle retros while the Saucony shoes are more protros (same as original with upgraded materials and/or specs) or reissues. Also, Townsend Leathers sources their suede from Wolverine World Wide - the parent company of Saucony. Saucony > New Balance although NB is pretty good. ✌🏽💙👟
@@sneakerprofiler that was very informative. my only concern with saucony is the oversaturated ads they use which should technically be false advertisement. although i actually prefer the more subtle "s" on saucony shoes over the thick NB signature logo. i only wish that saucony made more wide options as nb does in pretty much all their releases
@@maggyfrog yeah. NB kinda created the wide shoe space. NB history is in stability inserts and wide foot friendly shoes. Please share the Saucony ads you find false. I haven’t seen any that stood out as dubious. ✌🏽💙👟
@@sneakerprofiler just the saturation aspect is what i've found to be exaggerated online, like in their own website (as far as the colorful releases are concerned, not the earth tone ones). even images in sites like amazon have exagerrated saturation. i've found other reviews claiming the same about the saturation in images vs the real kicks. i can't remember the other review sites i've seen but i think runrepeat is one of the review sites that mentioned the saturation thing edit: the last time i checked out sauconys in my local stores, i remember the colorways to be closer to pastel while sesrching for the exact same colorways online, i've found that the real ones were really not that saturated at all

They do amazing collaboration work and materials (usually) are great. I dig Saucony more than most Nike now.

Thanks for the review. Love you bro. You are the best sneaker blogger.
Heck yeah Saucony. They’re basically New Balance without the hype. The Jazz 81 itself is rather reminiscent of the NB 574.
Saucony. RBW. 2 of my favourite things 💕
🤞🤞🤞
Great review
The shadow 6000 is my choice.
I'd be interested in trying on a pair. I never see them in stores, however I'm never looking for them either. 😁
You’re right, not really on store walls. Mainly online. Nice simple shoe
can you compare saucony jazz / shadow / original to new balance 574?

Hi! Are you planning to make a video about the nike dunk low setsubun?
Great colour blocking - to hear the materials aren’t great is a little detracting- but i get it
Sorry if i missed it in the video but how do these fit? Ive found them for a great price but they are half a size too small.
