Hi Alex! Love your circles!!! I’m learning too and have a bear of a time with the curves in needle turned appliqué. While talking about them, I remember you had a show with Sarah Fielke and she used foil to make her perfect circles. Think I’ll try that to see if they come out for me because right now I still have a few of those pesky little points that just drive me insane. Have you used her method?
I use a Roxanne size 11 sharps or Jeana Kimball’s straw needle size 10 or 11 or Apliquick needle. Roxanne is my favorite. Doing needle turn appliqué you want a long needle like Jeana Kimball’s.

I use a sport tape as a thimble, cutting pieces to fit for fingers or areas as needed. Easy to double or triple small areas.
