Loved this movie. I liked that the story was a little more real than most- family disapproval, jealousy, regret, dating woes, timing and just real love. There was great chemistry between the actors and great acting all round Thanks for sharing.😊
Emily Rose was perfect in this role. It felt like I was reading a really good book. I love how her acting didn't even seem like acting; she acted the part so naturally.
Glad the sister fessed up to her reasons why and then persuading the parents to go along with her feelings of dislike. Happy they got to reunite as older adults who are strong enough to battle anything. Sometimes it's all about the timing in everything. Not sure it would have stayed the same course with them still being together if united years ago, especially if a family would have come along. Kids change everything in a marriage and those demands change careers. Good movie.
Always happy to see a movie with Emily Rose. My favorite parts were the easy bantering between the two leads. I did wonder about the idea of fixing up her boss or people in the same office, but, hey, it's a movie.
Lead actress, Emily Rose. It took me awhile to realize where I knew her from. Her voice and acting are so distinctive. Then it hit me & I paused to do a Google search. She was the lead in sci-fi tv series Haven. I love her acting.
The same thing happened to me. My Older sister did accept that I got engaged before her. Convince my mom and dad and we broke up. He kept coming over wanting to patch things up for a whole year but my sister and my mom wouldn't let him talk to me. 😢 We met up about 10 years ago but he's married 😢. Yeah we still said we loved each other 😢💔
Here's a couple of questions to all the viewers here who were born and raised in the US, if I may … I'm a guy who is planning on taking a month-long vacation trip to the US for the first time ... My American buddies invited me over and told me that they could offer me a rent-free place to stay in a suburb of San Diego, California, and in downtown Austin, Texas ... Being on a tight budget, I would be able to visit only one of those states ... Which of them do you think I should choose and why? My main interests are practicing my American English with native speakers, visiting natural wonders and meeting single women searching for a life partner. (I sure hope that American women are as nice and caring as they are portrayed in all those Hallmark movies). Also, my friends suggested that I learn to use some US slang or I won’t be able to communicate with the local residents on a proper level but I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort … Won’t Americans be trying to express their thoughts in plain English seeing that they are dealing with a foreigner? Your advice would be greatly appreciated ... * Moscow, Russia
I am speaking from experience from my dating days, to just be yourself, no matter which area you choose. San Diego has a naval base, which is a well-known fact, and a university town as well. Austin offers a decent social scene with well established families, and likely some spoiled brats in the mix. Let me suggest that a good sense of humor goes a long way in real life. Being friends first, last, and always and truly caring about that person's welfare is paramount to any successful relationship. The movies, especially Hallmark, are there to make money, so they cast people that fit the script and demonstrate a personable and vulnerable personality. It's make believe. But real life is much better with the right person, and, of course, there must be a degree of chemistry. All the best to you in your endeavor to find your equal and your best friend, young man. Merry Christmas. 🎅❤💑🙏🎶🕊

What a movie ! The leading actress had the same sour face throughout the whole movie. Then there was her evil older sister. And she just sits there letting the betrayal wash over her and wrapping gifts, what nonsense.
To @carollancaster9462, What is your letter doing here? I thought this was a space for comments about the movie, and your long letter is out of place, it has nothing to do with the movie!!
From start I was right her sister was just jealous that her younger sister figure out everything at young, while she has no one so she did everything and broke her engagement and turn her parents against him too... How she didn't accepted whole time but in last and brushed it off as it was not a big deal while it was... She ruined her sister's life
Audrey 🤗🤗🤗 But the portrayal of the sister as the wicked Witch of the West totally nailed her - that degree of manipulation and complicity should never be tolerated. She repeatedly undermines Maggie, practically gaslights her up until the point she finally admits what she did. But at least she finally owns to herself why she did it (even though it's the pettiest reason ever - and I say that as someone who doesn't approve of young marriages, but to do that just bcos you think *you* should be the one who gets married first....??!). It was an unfortunate script (especially the total about face of the sister - not credible, even for hallmark) but an excellent cast
I agree with you about the sister - very manipulative and controlling. I’m surprised Maggie seemed quite unaware of how destructive her sister’s behaviour was in preventing her from being happy.

The female star,Emily Rose, definitely looks at least 6 months pregnant. She’s constantly pulling her coat closed and she hides behind things. Lots of jackets. They should have written it into the storyline or gotten someone else.
I think it's great that studios are prepared to cast pregnant women. Women in other careers work well into their pregnancies, why shouldn't actresses? And Emily Rose successfully acted a full season of Haven pregnant and it didn't detract from the action in any way
