- After 15 nights on P&O Arvia crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean, we reach our last couple of islands Martinique & Barbados.
Firstly, the French Caribbean Island of Martinique where we walk the town and then our last port for two nights in Bridgetown Barbados.
We spend the morning on the beach in Carlisle Bay, Barbados where we get to swim with the Sea Turtles.

Looks beautiful Mel . Right up my street . Rum punch and the music lol . ☀️☀️☀️🍸🍾
Hi Marcus and Mel - 9.123 here again. Well we all made it and enjoyed the trip! As with the others in your series it has been nice to re-live the cruise. Just a few comments : we were not so impressed with Martinique but this was only because, as you mentioned, the water taxis were on strike so unless you had a pre booked tour then you were a bit stuck in Fort de France. I was lucky since we had only one P&O pre-booked trip on the whole cruise which just so happened to be the snorkelling at Martinique in the afternoon which was excellent. We enjoyed Barbados, taking a tour and then spent the afternoon also at nearby Carlisle Bay (Harbour Lights) which was very relaxing. Thanks again for a great series of videos and happy future cruising !
Hi, it was a great trip and very relaxing. We are looking at another transatlantic in October, this time ending up in the USA. Thanks again for watching the series.
Been watching your adventures for some time and I must say they are so funny...love your dry sense of humor. 😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it. We're trying another cruise in a few months.
@@flydriveexplore where are you going? Look forward to seeing that one..🤔 We are doing Two weeks Canaries in May from Southampton
@@derekjohnson8547 We're doing Rome to Barcelona via Greece and Turkey
@@flydriveexplore look forward to seeing that...have a great time
Thank you both for such a fantastic series of vlogs! We're doing the same trip (albeit some different stops) on Arvia in Oct this year. We really appreciate your views of the ship and the experiences you had. Thank you for what has become essential viewing for us!
Thank you very much for watching. Appreciate it. We’re sure you’ll have a good time and we would definitely do it again, cheers!
Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed! Hope you have a fantastic time. We loved Arvia. We would love to do it again! Any questions please ask
So happy to see you guy went from being first time cruisers to cruise experts. Seems like you guys love cruising and its become addictive lol. It definitely is worth the price compared to land trips as you see more countries and your place of stay moves with you. Just went on my first in August and I love it! Hope to do more in the future and love your videos. Keep up the good work 👏🏾
Thanks, we have a few more planned for this year.
So Glad you enjoyed the cruise, I want to go on another transatlantic as well, as I love just chilling Reading and relaxing
Yes, they are really relaxing.
Great cruise, when we went cruising sadly we took the rain with us while the uk basked in sunshine lol
Luckily we left the stormy weather behind us.
Great vid again…. Like watching !
Thank you! Cheers!
lol, cruising becomes addictive! I’m off on Arvia in Feb so have enjoyed your vlogs. We did Arvias first transatlantic last January but that didn’t include these ports so good to see some great content on them.
Thanks for watching, yes it is addictive. We are off again soon.
As always another great VLOG from the warmth and delights of the Caribbean. Another cruise booked! the fifth in a year, I think it fair to say you have caught a serious case of having the cruise bug, enjoy Princess line, lets hope they get the ship finished in time🤞🤞
You are becoming my advice portal for cruising, we binned our MSC plans following your escapade. We have been on to P&O about flights for a fly/cruise spring trip Caribbean & back to Southampton. They were very non commital about flight details, which was making me a bit hmmm about booking the trip. Your comments and some of the horror stories I've read online about Maleth even more hmmm. Maybe a P&O spring Canaries cruise will beckon us instead 😂😂
Hoping Princess will be good, heard fab stories about them! Glad the cruise videos have been helpful. If you ever see us on a cruise say hi!
Always enjoy your vlogs. Keep up the good work !
Thank you! Will do!
You guys love your vlogs thank you … I would love to meet you both . In wales . ☀️🛳️☀️
Say hello if you're ever passing.
To see the turtles were you on Carlisle beach when the rain came down, we were on the beach too
Yes, we were there when the rain came over (mid morning).
Another great vlog fond memories of when we did a transatlantic , but sorry you cant beat the Bristol channel coast can you..
The channel did look particularly nice when I filmed it. A rare dry sunny day this winter.
Can’t wait To go now. Love your beach bag Mel . I am trying to get time off to go this cruise . Been on the med . Want to go 2025 . Love your guys 💖🛳️⚽️⚽️
Thanks again for watching. Hope you get to go soon 👍
Love it. That lady going to have a photo with the Captain has a Princess bag. 😂. I’ve never been to Martinique. Love Barbados. It’s sad going back to Barbados and that terrible flight home. Thanks for the vlogs. I enjoy your walking tours. When’s the next cruise?
Thanks for watching, yes I noticed the bag, don't know if the captain did. We hope to be going on the new Sun Princess around the end of Feb
@@flydriveexplore I like Princess and I’d like to try Sun Princess, but prices are expensive and solos are terrible prices. Hope you enjoy.
What a great series of videos from your cruise. The message I take is never go on a cruise that goes through the Bay of Biscay in November! Thanks for all the information.
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it
long boat ride. looked fun tho
Yes, 9 full days at sea in total.
@@flydriveexplore wow amazing
Hi Marcus awesome live video walk tour. I enjoyed it. How are you and your family doing? I'm doing well and so is my cat Benjamin. We had our are first snowfall in Ontario Canada. Have a great day see you next video do you have any snow in Wales where you live? 😊
Hi both. We rarely have any snow here, it usually falls as rain 🌧️
Don’t people refer to Barry as Bar bardos? I live in Houston, we have a lot of Caribbean cruises out of Galveston just south of Houston. You could fly into Houston and spend more time cruising the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean than sea days on the Atlantic. I noticed you don’t fly out of Rhoose airport.
Hi, yes Barrybados is correct. We have been looking at Galveston cruise videos. Unfortunately, there are a very limited number of flights out of Cardiff airport (Rhoose)
Hi Marcus..Glad you enjoyed your holiday...Can I ask you what camera you use for your vlogs ??..The quality is amazing...Thank you, see you outside the Piccolo soon ..
Hi, for most of these I used a GoPro Hero 10. 👍
