“His job is to shed light and not to master.” The first show that I actually got into was the infamous Phil’s 50th birthday 3-15-90! It produced an official Grateful Dead Terrapin Station box set because it was so intense. I was dosed and ready for the Terrapin Station that was laid upon us. Look no further for a better example of the piece. I love chilling to this new video! Excellence all around.

Like the writer of above, Terrapin Station means the world to me,-
but this version, new to me, suffers like so much of my favorites live....
lumbering, contradictory bass, often chaotically missing the lilting rhythm , pulling apart the cadences. I love chaos and disunion, mainstays of the Dead, ..but not for this composition!
