Just bought the 1299 about a month and a half ago. My picture shows my 2008 Ninja ZX14. The 1299 is insane! It can handle any corner and does take work to drive. It has a mind of it's own and loves getting crazy. It's all over the road and loves going crazy. I do get blown around a lot on the road, but with the Ninja never did. I get real tired driving it, cuz its tough. But I can feel every curve to the road while the Ninja was like riding on a big couch. I never regret selling the ZX14, but having the Ducati is truly the best time of my life.

I´ve got the 1199 (check my vids) and on hot summer days it´s unbearable...
Any changes to the sound? Do you have a chance to record some propper onboard sound going through the city?
that sound at the beginning, its hard to beat a sport twin for sound and emotion.

they answer a bunch of different questions..., if the had 20k pounds they'd rather have a 1299 over a 1199.
or would you trade in ur hp4, etc.

but true, more specifics: I feel like the active e-suspension on the BMW is important regarding safety sake. I'm a father of 2, and although 'excitement' is the very reason I motorcycle, continuing to be a dad is more important.
I'd ride not that frequently and mostly on the road but will be going to a handful of track days.
the only reason I even look at the Ducati is that it is so dang beautiful. there! i said it! ;)
Great video guys!!! by the way you should try to fix your white noise levels (the fuzzy sound on the silent parts) some free audio programs you can get to make it sound much cleaner :) or just do what ever the f**k you wanna do cus its your channel ha

wasn't the K5/K6 GSX-R1000 lighter in standard form at 166kg? ok its not much but its still a difference. And it was and still is an incredibly capable machine! I have one and still love it to bits! Im now considering buying a 1299S either later this year or sometime next year but not as a replacement to my K6..
When you say you can't downshift with the auto blipper at 10,000 rpm, does it mechanically lock you out?
And does it work if the throttle is opened? I wondered if it's different than the bmw in that way. Where the throttle must be fully closed to operate correctly. It would make it much smoother on the street.

Just bought one and drove 300Km on it... the 1299 S is absolutely amazing - I can not describe it - it's a Ghepard in red!

really like this channel. I recog Baron which is so awesome... can you re explain what he's saying at the 1 minute mark about his height... did he say it's immediately short.. suspension pivot? .... Canada here lol I got the rest of him talking though.. added to the fun. ... PS do this style of video for us REAL riders .. and a must would be the 15 R1 and 15 CBR1k SP... sure it hasn't changed from 2014 but there aren't any reviews on it and although it's slow by compare I'd like to know what all the fuss is about.

I'm a pretty big guy, 6'3 240 lbs muscular build, and I got a 2014 Multistrada GT. I love my bike, but I'm not able to do as much touring as I thought with my new job. I was wondering if I would be too big for this bike. Would I look goofy riding this thing?
Hey im thinking about buying a 1299 Panigale but i dont know if i should go with the 1299 S or with the standar 1299, i dont usually drive in the circuit but i think is nice to have the best one, what do you guys think, do i should spend that extra plus to buy the S or just go with the 1299 standar? Does it putter around under 40mph like the 1199? Its important for the urban traffic.
soon as i get one for a UK road test, i will let you know. I suspect its better than the 1199 but cant say yet. Im also looking forward to seeing if the throttle improvements will translate to road riding as constant RPM's used to 'wobble' a bit on the 1199.
Could you please comment on the heat? My 1199 left heat rashes on the inside of my thighs!!

Gsxr1000k5 claimed 166kg dry, lightest production super bike ?. The 1299 is such a beautiful, sexy, weapon.

Okay, so I've wanted a Ducati all my life. Though I've gotten a bit taller since, 1.89m to be exact. Anyway, would I be too tall for the Panigale or?
i believe thats pretty much 6ft 3 ish - my height. I had the 899 and although i looked a bit lanky on it - it wasnt by any means too small for me. Its compact for sure, but tbh - most superbikes are. RC8 is one of the more roomy supersports and they are super nice bikes :)

Why the Ducatis are not seen that often on road races ? Because they are not that reliable. When was the last time there was a Ducati on a FIM Endurance race ? a single entry as of 2015, zero entries on 2016.

You mentioned the weight is around 160kg, is that a wet or dry weight? If its wet then my 125 is as heavy as 1299 Panigale! Love these bikes and really want one to Jizz over when I can afford one :)

Not really, no hotter than stock exhaust I would say.
Lost some of the sexiness of the 1199 and plastic of the mirrors looks a bit cheap, otherwise still the best looking of the superbikes.
Front still looks like batman to me..

If you're comparing this to a BMW you've already missed the point,this is a bike for lovers of motorcycles wrapped with Italian passion,they fit the Italian stereotypes perfectly but the build quality and reliability gremlins are 20+ years gone,this is one item you can buy on looks and not regret it.
I would rather open my garage to a HP4 than this....
