Thank you for pulling back the curtain on A/C products!
I think more and more people are considering installing hvac themselves. A gas furnace appears to be a pretty easy installation if you are reasonably handy. AC’s are doable with more skill and a willingness to buy about a grand worth of tools, from what I can tell. And if you’re a real estate investor (I’m looking at replacing up to 4 hvac systems in the next few years) it seems to be a no brainer to take the time to learn these skills.
Agreed, plus if you do it yourself it will be done with care. Some of the HVAC people out there today are straight up hacks. I have started doing my own repairs, it ain't that hard.
Upgraded to a Lennox heat pump 6 years ago. Thought it was top of the line. Already have paid over 20% of the original cost in repairs, that, of course, were not covered by the warranty.
Class action lawsuit filed against Lenox
I have also had a lot of problems with the Lennox air conditioner installed thru Costco
Lennox broke in early summer for 3rd time in 4yrs, it's coming out. Shopping
Lennox is junk came with a new home...never will buy one of them.
Came for the pricing intel. Stayed for the "sponsor". Love it.
Or find one by WOM. Totally replaced my system and was the best money I have ever spent. They did exactly what they said they would do. Great value.
I live Northwest of Washington DC area and last week I had to replace my Goodman of 16 years my cost was 8 grand for a Carrier unit with a in wall air handler that also makes heat from my hot water tank the company I went with is presidential heating and air a carrier authorization dealer
So what I want to know is how much an hour do these people charge to install a HVAC system? The cost is all added in with the price so how do we know if we are getting screwed? How can we know the true price of the system??I know they charge by where you live and the cost of the houses in your neighborhood..
Exactly. The last time I asked an HVAC company to break down the estimate into individual parts cost and labor hours all they could tell me was, "Well we go by the book"
I don't have the book you dummies! That's why I'm asking for a complete breakdown! 🙄
Also, a lot of us are looking for info on a mini-split system. Do you work on those? Any info you can share? Thanks
Great info, thanks. Checked your price list and saw it is from end of 2022, I expect things are a bit pricier now. Also, just had a strange experience with a sales rep. I signed with a digital signature onto his Ipad to order a split system. After a day or so, I had not received my copy of my order via email as promised. I contacted to get the info and was surprised to read it was for a different brand with less features that I thought I was getting. I cancelled under the three day rescission law in Florida but thought you may mention what "paperwork" customers should receive at time of ordering a system. Thank you.
I recently had to replace my heating and AC unit. I needed a 2 ton 16 seer unit. I had 5 contractors come to my home and I got prices from 5700 to 14,000 dollars. Naturally people would go with the 5700 system but this contractor was hard to contact so I said if they are this hard to contact then if something is wrong with the system then I could not get in contact with them. Bottom line the cheapest price may not always be the best price.
I'd say the cheapest price is almost always NOT the best price and there are usually reasons for them being cheap. Low quality and substandard work, or they know they won't stand behind it, and/or they have a poor reputation and must low-ball a quote just to get any work at all.
@@highlanderknight yep you are correct
That is my logic as well.
Doesn't matter in my case. I couldn't afford either of them so I'd have to go with window units. They have literally priced themselves out of most people's budgets. 5k is the most I will ever spend on something like this. Anything more is either highway robbery or simply something that is no longer attainable or reasonable.
Hahaha 15k?? They want double that one year later...
My two family house was built in 1962. Took 9 years for the owner to get central air units in both floors. Both handlers are the original from 1971. Both condensers were changed in late 90's. All still function well today.
thanks for just being honest and straight forward!!! 🤠
just got quoted roughly $17k for a seer 17 system. Sure wish I could pinpoint exactly what happened around 3 years ago when prices of EVERYTHING started to skyrocket.
Where I live (suburbs of Philly) every quote that I received for installing a HVAC was $13-15K. Crazy!!
It got to be cheaper than tht smh they over whooping
Just got a quote of $27,976 for a American Standard Gold 4 ton, 2 stage, 16 seer, 8.1 HSPF2 heat pump, with new evap coil, and 4 ton 80K BTU 2 stage propane furnace replacements... I.e. everything in... just replace the existing systems. Unreal!!
That's a lot. We're having a 20 SEER variable speed 3 ton unit and 80k 2 stage gas furnace installed for $13,000.

Another great and informative video (I'm binge watching you). I've no plans on moving to Texas but if you decided to move to Ontario Canada I'd buy from your company. Cheers.
I really don't know how young families deal with the cost of new HVAC equipment.
I wish I could get any service person or estimator to show up within an HOUR of a given time, much less right on time. Most operate anywhere within a 3 or 4 hour window.
Sorry. But everything needs to be looked at prior to giving someone a quote. Gas lines, regulator, tstat wire, duct work, return size, condensate drain...etc. Too many times a simple change out leads to way more additional work and materials that what was quoted for. If not performed properly, it will fail inspection, contractor doesn't make a profit and the homeowner will not be satisfied with the overall performance of the system. An unhappy/complaining customer will suck every bit of profit you intended to make. So, someone who gives you a quote in 30-45 minutes is not doing the customer or their company any good. To be honest, if a customer wants to rush me out the door in that time span, I'm walking away from that customer anyway. Been there, done that and they are always a problem customer after the job is complete. You pay for what you get. No need to pay too much though, nor should you go with the cheapest quote. The contractors who are usually in the middle of your received quotes will be the best option.
Well said , couldn’t agree anymore.
Spot on. I'm going through this now. I want to replace my system in the off season. I don't use the heat much here in North Texas. Someone that doesn't do a thorough check of your house, including duct work is a major red flag. The last guy I had measured every single room in my house and looked at every inch of my house.
Thank you for the advice. I had 1 quote. The man looked at my handler. I told him and showed him that I upgraded my electrical panel. He didn’t asked to see anything else. He charged me for a service call. He was in my home for 10 minutes. The next day he emailed me a quote. When I expressed how high it seemed, he said the company may finance if I qualify. My gut is saying not to trust.
My cousin does hvac. All the hvac companies around me said for a/c installed were $5k. I got my cousin to send me a 14 seer 2 ton for $900. Most of the contractors had it at $900 just for the condenser. Makes you stop believing all these guys and there prices
Well sure your price is better, you have an in guy at an HVAC company. That's like me saying me saying the same thing about that super special deal I get on a new car from my Uncle at the dealership
@@highlanderknight yah when the warehouse guy is pissed and tells you your not supposed to know the real price of this stuff so we the hvac can get away with knowing the real price
@@orangechev79Your cousin ABSOLUTELY gave you the family discount. That wasn't a real price, that was a FAVOR
Well I guess if enough people go bankrupt paying for this 💩 then they will finally lower their prices to something in the four figures range instead of five figures.
We were told that we were going to pay $13 grand for a York and almost $10 grand for a Goodman!!! I'm not mentioning contractor names! I'm not crazy when I say a Goodman costs around $3,300-3,999 dollars, and a York is around $4-6,000 dollars! When we said no, the project manager looked like he had the wind taken out of him!! 😲😅 BBB is a great place to check out reviews, literally.
I got installed a 96 Gas furnace 3. ton Amana all for 5200 last fall. 1800 SF home. That company was fair.
I have new hvac 4mos old paid $3,600 with home warranty 24mos.
Now compressor out waiting week in 90 temp.for new part to come and put in.😢 week later new compressor $620 more
I built a new house in 2008. I spent the $30,000 and installed geothermal.
@Kernica1 I use water to heat/cool my home.
In your linked prices for a new Air Conditioning system are you including both the condenser unit and the evaporator coil? What about the thermostat? For example, the average unit for 2.5 ton you list is $3,746. Which of the three is included?
Thank you. Great job.
Just fyi, took a look at your web site and found an error in the repair section. Instead of Capacitor it says Compositor.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF BUYING AC EQUIPMENT off the internet or thru local ads ? ...... I notice several people selling AC equipment on the internet ....... some ads say they have several units that were rebuilt or for some other reason they how have units that were purchased in bulk for a contractor and didn't use
I have gotten 6 quotes for a 2 ton 15.5 SEER HSP 8.2 single stage Heatpump from anywhere $7,500 to $12,000 (installed for 6 - 8hrs of labor) in the Orlando area despite the actual AC (Condenser/Air handler/ 50' copper line/10kw heat strip/programable themo) only costing $3,200 - 3,800. Toyota had that scam of 0% for 5yrs but they tack on an extra $2,500 - 3,000 on to the price (even with my 820 credit); I just went with my PenFed CU 1.49% for 3yrs...cost me an extra $550 over that time frame back in 2018.
the equipment may cost 3800.00 dollars but there are another 3-400 dollars in misc parts needed to install a system plus tax. then you have to pay the install crew they dont come cheap. then if you have an office with a staff to answer phones and do the books you have to pay them. the over head to run a company. some money to advertise. insurance gas ect. oh yea you might wanna make a profit too. so yea thats why systems cost so much now.
@@kevin-tk3qr He sounds like the "but the solar panels are $300 each, why does my solar system cost $35,000 when the parts are only $12,000!!!!"
You should never need a heat strip in Florida heat pump installed right will do the job
@@curtisendicott5989Technically yes but when it’s 30 degree in Tampa and your unit outside doesn’t come on for some reason? It’s called emergency heat and it’s works, the heater itself is 75-100 dollars at cost definitely worth putting in when replacing a system
@@kevin-tk3qr How does "overhead" get to be 100% - 250%?
So my house doesn't have central air. So I'm basically screwed to get central ac and ducts installed 😢 I have an older home
Are you in out around Houston? If not, can you recommend a good company here?
I don’t know about where you are doing business, but where I live it is a requirement to have an accurate heat load calculation performed on the home to ensure proper sizing of the HVAC system, which is submitted when the job permit is applied for. You cannot perform an accurate heat load calculation on home if you are not physically in the home. And also, if a contractor is drastically cheaper than others, there is a reason they are cheap. Maybe they are a one man show, who will probably be out of business in a year or two, or they are doing low quality installations and cutting corners in the process, or they pay their workers very low wages so they can charge less for their installations, the list goes on and on. You should never ever go with the cheapest or the most expensive contractor. A middle ground option is the best option.
So it's against FL law to create a bid document without visiting the job site. I would be willing to bet it is in Texas as well.
Still great content as always
I appreciate that!
i got an ac guy that's quoting me $19,000 and his lowest option is about $9500 for a split ac unit. he was really pushy in hard selling his shit.
that'll be the last time i do bidness with his company
Good info. I was quoted $7K in 2018 but opted for repair - big mistake as the system has now failed and current quotes $10K. Thanks, federal gov, not enough to tax the hell out me, must also force higher prices due to cult of climate change.
Climate change is REAL! And it is going to cost most of us more money, llke for home insurance. I am a retired atmospheric physicist who worked for NASA.
I have a 30-year-old Rheem Furnace/air-conditioning split system, it is operational. I want to get it replaced while there is no urgency hopefully to save cost. Here is my dilemma. I want to buy my new hvac system thru Home Depot they will deliver the new unit to the store or to my home. However, when I contact a HVAC business, they seem uninterested in taking the installation work. Apparently not enough Windfall profit. I simply want a change out of the old unit for the new one. Everything is already in place. Your thoughts on what the problem might be? Btw, I would support a full inspection in case any unseen cost issues arise.
Will have to hire a small time guy/company. Reputable companies offer warranties on equipment and labor through them at no cost so they won't take that liability
I'm enjoying your videos. I highly recommend that you lose the swivel chair.
I actually am just standing in this video ...
It is very frustrating why is your volume so low. Pump up the volume then I will subscribe.
You mentioned your company can install the unit somebody can install for $20,000, and you can install it for $7,500. But your website linked here has your most expensive AC unit, a 5 ton unit, for $4,751. Something's wrong here.
The labor cost would then make it 7500

If they keep raising prices they better start making products that last longer than 15-20 years!
My mobile home was built in 2000 and I'm still using the original ac unit. Can the new ones last that long??
Salesman and working off commission is what’s what’s wrong with the construction trade today. They are bad as car salesman!
They get their intrest in the first few years before you even pay down your item fyi
7500 😂 that's a deposit in my business 😂
Lmao, I just got quoted 25 grand for a 2 ton heat pump
This video is mostly about price. I get it, price is always a concern, but the new equipment can do a lot that old equipment can't. Based on the way this is presented, I would expect a 3.5 ton Gas Carrier system in 2 stage for $7500 with a Remy Halo. Why don't you modify the content to a minimum single stage gas system with no add on? This video is setting up an unfair price expectation for the consumer.
Buy mini split units for $700 and install yourself or a friend. Donn't need a hvac tech.
Salesman should say " hello sucker" because that is what i understand.
I want to DIY replace my 3.5 Ton A/C and gas furnace (35 year old Coleman that is still working!) this spring and my preference would be an R32 system. Any recommendations? 16-18 SEER, two stage is my target.
That type of replacement is not remotely DIY. Definitely have a reputable licensed and insurance HVAC company do the change-out. Unless you are EPA 608 certified, NATE certified and have spent some time in the field, you technically are not legally able to do a DIY project such as what you are proposing. I would make friends with an HVAC person and asked them to hook you up. I hate to break it to you, but R-32 is used at 50% in R-410A but R--32 that is being used by Daikin only will start being phased out in 2023-2024 for one of the lesser GWP (global warming potential) and non-flammable refrigerants such as ECO-32 and refrigerants like R-454b (an A2L made up of R-32/1234yf) and R-466a (Which is an A1 and is a blend of R-32/125/CF3I). There are dozens more being testing but these are the likely candidates. Being that Daikin owns the patent on the R-32 product and the only residential systems using it or even retrofitting, it is unlikely anyone is going to pay royalties for that. R-32 has been around a while mixed 50% in 410a and Puron solutions are more likely to catch on faster. R-32 has been used in commercial applications for quite a while as they have different regulations, and some are even mixed with R-290 which is propane. R-410a is unlikely to completely be phased out for at least 10 years or more. A1 and other A2L's lead the way to adoption. Even though R-32 is a fantastic choice minus the mild flammability. Every brand, scientist and companies who produce equipment or refrigerants are really digging deep to find a good replacement across the board. We just don't know what will end up being the top contender or something as steppingstone yet. With goals to reach a natural refrigerant like CO2 (R-744) which is a great choice but requires pressures that could cut your car in half. Organics would be ideal, just not realistic with current technology. I know Carrier picked R-454b for 2023 systems. We'll see if that goes through or not. Having every brand going different directions is going to make things difficult.
@@Balticblue93 -- Thanks for the detailed reply. I like the fact that R32 is not a blend and I believe it's royalty free. Also, my lines will be less than 15' long so should be no need to add any freon. Just pressure test, purge, pull a vacuum and open the valves. What could go wrong? :o)
This is your company. Buy your stuff online and then hire them because they’re obviously desperate for business.
Unless you have the experience, knowledge and all of the tools/equipment necessary to complete an HVAC change out, it would benefit you to contact a HVAC contractor. Not a buddy who is in the HVAC field. I've seen several "buddy" installs that I have had to go behind their work because it wasn't performing properly or at all. The proper equipment and tools at a minimum will cost $2000-$2500. The $7500-$9000 (average in my area) you would spend to have it professionally changed would be money well spent.
@@michaelangelo6217 -- I would have no problem paying a professional to do the work. The real problem is finding one. You only need to watch a few HVAC channels on UA-cam to realize they are as rare as hens teeth! If I mess it up, I can always pay a "professional" to fix it. But I do appreciate everyone taking the time to share their thoughts on the subject.
The whole time I was talking to the salesman, I thought, this guy used to be a used car salesman. Used all the same tactics. Most HVAC systems just don’t last anymore and the installation of the unit is as important as the brand you purchase

How many viewers think that businesses are using "inflation" as an excuse to raise prices when they really don't have to. I suspect, human nature being what it is, many, if not most do.
Maybe not small companies but big companies sure as hell are. If inflation was hurting them so bad they wouldn't be telling their shareholders that they're having record profits. Companies can't legally lie to shareholders
Time has shown this to be completely correct
I’m confused. Do you think businesses are somehow immune to inflation?
@@Pseudify That would mean they lost or made the same amount of money. We now know that they posted record profits. Them raising prices was just taking advantage of the situation
@@Jacob-yz5cb. What do you think keeps prices in check in the first place? If businesses are all greedy as you seem to be claiming, then why wouldn’t they just keep raising their prices? I think you know the answer to that. The fact of the matter is, a business has a right to charge any amount of money they want for their products and services. Period. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it!
A lot of times the sales person knows you are over a barrel with a down system. I went out and bought 2 spare units (1 window and 1 portable). This ensures I'm coming to the table and I'm not on fire hot, with a grumpy family. Allows me to take my time and make a good decision.
I did the same thing when mine went out 3 weeks ago. I tore out my unit and getting ready to put in an air handler in another month. Only concerned with heat coming up this winter for now. The best time to replace a system is when everyone thinks you don’t need one. The worst time is when you have to.
What I'm doing right now. I'm looking to buy locally for half their installed quotes 8k plus or 4k out the door hmmm.
Using window units for 5 years now
Mine got hit by a surge from lightning. I'm working with insurance, it's gonna take at least a month. I had one backup window unit and I went and bought another. I bought time for about $250. If more people did this so they made sure they got a good deal they'd be better off.
Your website and price transparency is amazing. I wish there were HVAC companies like yours in my area.
Just received one quote today for two units in a 3,200 SF home with mid line quality Lennox. The first choice was $62,000 down to $39,000 for the basic two stage gas furnace and 16 SEER AC units, a 2 & 4 ton units. A bit obscene. Needless to say, will be taking more bids. I think that a lot of HVAC companies look at certain addresses and add the "millionaire" charge.
😳
They are charging what they think they can get out of you. Duh.

Hey man, I really like your vids and appreciate the info. I do have one criticism... Your sound is quite a bit low. I have my speakers set to high and it's still a challenge to hear you. The quality is great, but the sound is just low.
Great video. I swapped out a 3.5T/80k gas system in July 2018. My local small proprietor a/c guy did the job for $5,650 complete using Goodman equipment which was what I had previously. I live in the San Diego area so the equipment is drop shipped from Los Angeles to a local HVAC wearhouse . Two techs RNR’d the indoor and outdoor components in one day., and I have been pleased. I got a total of three quotes including Home Depot at $11,500, and Lowes at $19,000. Both Big Box stores sent out two sales people with fancy computer presentations. You see where this is going, right…high pressure sales. My recommendation to you followers is never go with big companies who advertise, it needs to be paid for somehow.
All of the HVAC guys do some sort of advertising. The little ones can be unreliable, inexperienced, understaffed, and gone the next day. I want someone I can go to to fix something they broke.
@@flexor212000then you most definitely don’t want to go through a big box store for hvac equipment or any trades work for that matter. Small family owned local reputable businesses would be your best bet.

Found all your videos useful. I'm looking to replace a single stage unit that is leaking refrigerant and would like it to be able to start on my battery backup, if necessary. Would love to hear more about inrush/locked rotor amps, and experiences with startup on an inverter. Another idea for a topic would be matching to existing furnace. When do you need to match, or at least should match, a furnace when upgrading the AC from say a single stage to 2-stage or variable speed AC Unit?

I am in Los Angeles and been getting quotes for around 22K for new install (no current central air system) of the Daikin Fit (3 Ton) for 1200 sqft home. I am interested in the FIt mainly due to the side exhaust design and not having much yard space. It also seems to have good reviews on UA-cam. I am guessing some of the 22K is electrical work (no 240 circuits yet).. but looking at your prices I don't see any mention in the "New AC Unit Costs" about the price including any electrical work.. the list of "what is included" below the "How Much Does a new AC Unit Cost?" looks like it is for a replacement as I don't see any mention of electrical or running ducts (how many) etc etc. Do your prices include electrical work? Also If anyone knows of other makes\models of heat pumps with the same form factor (side exhaust) as the Fit I would be very interested to check them out.
Great video. As a single woman, I appreciate the guidance you give. Thanks

Easy way to stop overpaying is to stop overcharging
I wish you guys were in my town. Your transparency is refreshing.
It's always the contractor trying to swindle the customer.
The HVAC guy I brought today wanted to charge me 7k... For a less than 1000sf home.
I have the ducts and a heating system with a fan and furnace installed etc
The Goodman unit he wants to bring costs $1,500. So his labor alone is $5,500 for about 4 hours of work.

They will give you a load of shit why it cost so much to do their training and permits and vehicle cost I said I don’t want to buy your vehicle I just want to be comfortable
Wow! I just checked the price on the Goodman HVAC I purchased and installed two years ago for $2990. It's now $4700, a 56% increase! This is from HVAC Direct. That's way more than the inflation rate.

When I used the Atlas build your system it showed that the price was very fair and that makes me feel good about the whole purchase.
ive always found it silly how people cry as if central is all there is in this world. my window units are doing better this year at cooling my home than my central air ever did. ive got a 3 ton trane condenser and coil and total across the home ive got 39k btu in window units. and they are using less electricity to do it
WE NOW HAVE ”FREE” TESLA WIRELESS ELECTRIC ENERGY" !!!! So don’t worry about the cost of operation !!!!
Best strategy is ask they to break down equipment and labor pricing. They will get u the equipment price and estimate hrs and hour rate for the jobs. That is how u can get best price.
You'll never find anyone that way. None of your business what somebody makes off a project. You want those figures so you can dissect and beat them down on price.
BEWARE OF GOODMAN AC UNITS! I live in the Phoenix area and Goodman units rarely last over 12 years..The Trane units here can last between 15-20 years....You get what you pay for.
Its all about the install. There's little difference in reliability. I've installed everything from trane to goodman to armstrong to concord. Never have any problems from any of them. A poor install will do in any system no matter the brand. I've got many 10+ year old goodmans out there that I maintenance that have had nothing but capacitors changed. I've also got a lot of tranes that have been problem units due to poor install practices. All that just to say that your system is as good as your installer. (BTW I'm a comercial hvac tech with a goodman in my own home. 9 years with no work aside from regular maintenance).
I live in Pensacola. My 2 ton Goodman AC was installed in 2010 and is still blowing cold. Quietly.
I'd like a Goodman to replace my Lennox that's only 8 years old...both units the evaporator coils leak after every 2 years. Heard new Goodmans also leak now. Keep those old units as long as you can...new units now are way worse it seems.
Goodman is way better since daikin bought them 6 years ago
I've had a Goodman 23 years. Still going strong. It may be older than that because it was already here when I bought the house.
So $17.5 charge was a complete hosed job for a 4 ton 15 seer.
Great informative video and timely for me actually! I just got a quote to replace my (Massachusetts) 32 year old AC system and I have another guy coming tomorrow for a 2nd quote. The 1st guy quoted me this: "Basic Goodman 3 ton 14 SEER AC unit with Basis ADP air handler, keep existing copper line set, New Zone panel (existing dampers stay, or, add $600 to replace the two dampers. $9,900." I'm thinking that's A LOT of money for a run of the mill budget AC system. I looked online at your pricing in TX and didn't notice the air handler listed in your pricing. I have a Buderus oil-fed furnace hydro air HVAC system. I'd be interested to hear your (or anyone's) thoughts on the pricing I was given. Thanks!
I work for an HVAC company and thanks for first pointing out the equipment price increases.
As far as contractor pricing, there are some that will try to go the salesman, financing pricing route, but not most in my area (we don't).
Quotes over the phone can't be trusted if given at all, especially if the company hasn't been to your house. They have zero idea of how well or how poorly your previous system was installed, if your ductwork is adequate or if you cheaped out before. Even if your current system was sized right.
For pricing, just ask, if someone is cheap, why? Is it because they need the work because they don't have much because of a poor reputation? Are they super expensive because they are putting you in the front of the line ahead other installs that have been waiting? Also in my area there is a severe shortage of HVAC workers for most companies, meaning the workers in general have higher labor costs to retain them (and as a result you may have a backlog of installations).
Those are just a few things to think about. Just be smart about your quotes, and remember thare are valid reasons for some prices and in other cases somewhat greedy ones.
I can't move to Texas. I have another solution though. Would you consider expanding to North Carolina?
I’m in Southern California, i gathered all information from the unit i want to replace, thought i would get a quote over the phone…sadly no one gave me any quotes. I scheduled a couple companies to come by. Good to know there are still good honest companies like yours.
Contractor charged 16k. Parts were 4k . Guy and helper took 2 hours to replace system… so 6k per hour in labor
MIGHT ANYONE KNOW OF A COMPANY IN ARIZONA THAT OPERATES THE SAME AS ATLAS? THANK YOU!
Move to Texas and let Atlas sell & service your AC. Guaranteed not to break down before the power grid.
How do you compare quotes that have different quality brands involved? Like a Tempstar versus a Trane?
What about companies that say, buy a new A/C and get a free furnace. Can you speak about this?
Tu
I have had 4 estimates in Phila. I have two 53 yr old furnaces. No AC. All 4 estimates were different, different equipment, different tonnage, price from 12,000 to 270000
I'm in Philadelphia myself I'm in the market for a new hvac system the highest price I've got was 15k 25k but I'm working with a co. Right now that's given me 3 quotes 10k 9400k 7500k can you lmk Ty
Smh that’s tooo mich
Is the with having to install ductwork
What manufacture you guys installing? More in likely, Goodman. Hopefully not York. And, if you guys are doing a lot of back to back installs, where you guy have good install crews, you guys can go a little lower and get some better pricing on equipment
I'd like to see you guys put in Trane or Carrier for $7,500, nope.. not going to happen.
@Kathi Jordan I'll stick with the 15k. Trane and Carriers are great equipment!
@Kathi Jordan trane equipment for 7500 doesnt exist anymore. i work for a top 10 trane dealer and we are consistantly one of the lower bids. and if you are selling it for that price you arent making any money and wont be in buisness long.
top of the line Trane equipment costs the dealer more then 7500 before you even add in labor or overhead. you simply dont understand how much costs have gone up in the last 3 years.
@@kevin-tk3qr Exactly! Pricing is through the roof! I'm losing installs left and right! It's crazy! It's sad, and I dont think it's going to get better. It could even get worse.
My customers don't understand.
I like your honesty!
