The concept behind the distortion at the end of Wildflower Wildfire is that the song itself catches fire. If you listen very carefully, you can hear the sounds of flames.
Why didn't i realise that though I've heard the song a hundred times🤯
I also always thought this, it sounds like gunpowder or a spark that lights everything up in flames.
omg I didn't realize.. damn this makes the song even better
Here for this answer.
@@kevincloutier4833 well do u guys know the meaning of the black bathing suit? Like what is the metaphor??
Chery Blossom is a lullaby, that's why it's so stripped down. Also, CB, Nectar and Living legend are from 2013 Ultraviolence sessions. Thunder and Dealer are from the Last shadow puppets' scrapped collab album, the same one California was from. Sweet Carolina is for her sister Chuck, and it has writing credits from her family, which makes the lyrics quite touching knowing it was by herself, her dad, her sister Chuck and a family friend.
thunder is a scrapped uv song too
@@zachbaillargeon2888 Thunder is from the same last shadow puppets' album as California and Dealer, so, around 2017-2018.
Cherry Blossom is also about her old self, when she used to be Lizzy Grant
@@zachbaillargeon2888 bullshit
when was the cherry blossom song recorded?
Living legend sounds like Lana is singing to her future unborn child. The title track and sweet Carolina have themes of having the baby blues. Cherry Blossom is a lullaby. The album as a whole is Lana wanting love and a family and sisterhood getting her through the rough times after she realizes she’s back to square one after another relationship falls apart
When I first heard some Snippets of this album I started thinking she was pregnant. But actually she just became an aunt so maybe it's that.
Cherry blossom is for her future child, living legend is dedicated to a friend of her, and sweet carolina is for her sister that is having baby blues
@@marlonvond cherry blossom is actually a very sad ballad about relationship lana wished to have with her mother
@@jakubpiotrowicz5354 wow that’s way sadder
@@katelynsandoval7550 yeah but that was back in 2014 and the fact that it’s on this album now could be something deeper than just randomly putting it on the album because she had nothing else. The title track has the lyrics “give me children, take away my pain and paint my banisters blue” so the lyrics of Living Legend could mean something totally different in the context of this album. The title track is the title track for a reason. When I really think about the lyrics on the title track it could give us a sign as to why these songs are on this album now. Sweet Carolina says writing credits from her sister and dad but that does not mean the lyrics are about her sister. The lyrics could actually be from her sister and father to Lana and Lana is just simply singing them as the narrator. Cherry Blossom is a lullaby and again the lyrics could be interpreted completely different than how they were originally intended. She talked about being annoyed that those songs leaked bc it’s difficult to explain why they’re on this album now and that could possibly be the reason. If we never knew those songs existed and they were on this album they would tie in to the themes of the title track. When it comes to living legend people automatically assume she’s singing to a child bc of the lyrics “Blackbirds will sing in the same key
As you play in the shoes that I bought you
And sweet baby Jane don't know a thing
About my songs” and “you never cared about my name” and the wahhhh wahhh part she does at the end is so torched and emotional. Im not saying im right it’s just a theory but it all stems from the title track. Her sister is pregnant and Lana has something missing and this time around it’s not just because of a man this time.. it’s much deeper
sweet carolina is named after lanas sister (caroline) who just had a baby. the song is meant to offer caroline a place of solace during her postpartum depression
where did y'all get all dis info from😂
@@inertia179 true 😭😂
@@inertia179 the lyrics duh
@@inertia179 Chuck literally had a baby???? And lana mentions the baby blues
Perfectly said by BILLBOARD: "Few new artists of the 2010s emerged so fully formed, with a voice and image beyond their years. To her devoted fans, she inspires near-religious fervor, like a millennial Stevie Nicks with the aura of Princess Diana. At her best, a Lana Del Rey song is intangible, like magic -- a fully realized world that feels like it’s always existed."
i agree
Those Billboard writers deserve every penny of their paycheck. This is beautiful!
well that sums it up perfectly! 😗👌
I like the words that they said to describe her music -- "intangible like magic"
Who wrote that. What a G
I actually really like how long the album is. She's referencing old styles of music in the production and instrumentation, so it makes sense that the songs would be comparable in structure and length to songs from the time. An hour long album is not unheard of. It's just not as common today, where the trend in current pop music is 2-3 minute songs.
Also, I just have to say, I don't think any of us were prepared for "Dealer."
I hate how songs have gotten so short, they feel incomplete. this album length was pretty standard just a decade ago.
dealer is soo underrated like some people say it shoukdnt have been on the album? i personally think its so good

I dont mind too much people comparing albums, I mean certain albums just set the bar for people for albums to come. Not in a way to say that an album is bad because you don't like it as much as another, but I think it's fine to say that you don't like one album as much as another.
I wish she made a whole album with songs like Dealer and with people like Miles Kane and Alex Turner!! That would be SO GOOD!! That style totally matches her sound and voice, but it's also different from her previous work.

Sweet Carolina is actually dedicated for her sister Caroline (Chuck), whom was pregnant during the making of the song so that’s why she says “baby blues”, if she ever has post-birth depression, lana will be there for her. Also, living legend, nectar of the gods, thunder and Cherry blossom were all unreleased tracks before this album, from around 2014-2017 and dealer feats the last shadow puppet member, miles Kane
I was confused with "baby blue" because she had like 2 Unrealed songs with words baby blue

Thats so dope!
yes, same with me
PLEASE do a revisit in a month or so, this whole album is a grower
yes exactly my first listen was good enough for a revisit but now i’m literally obsessed
ur pfp....I-
Totally!
I have to admit, it took a few listens to really grasp what a masterpiece this is
exactly my experience the songs she wasnt feeling neither was I and after listening became some of my favourites... a masterpiece
I'm drunk and watching your reaction video with Lana's album made my night special. She's amazing and your reactions as well. Thank you :)
Lana could’ve been speaking metaphorically, but I’m 99.999% sure she’s in recovery and substance use is a big part of her past.
Side note that’s not needed for this album, but I thought it was interesting: In “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me” she talks about “serving up God in a burnt coffee pot for the triad” that always reminded me of being of service at meetings by making coffee, greeting, and setting up chairs etc. I don’t know if that was what she was referring to that’s just my interpretation.
no you're right! she had a problem with alcohol and during her last instagram live she said that she attends meetings(probably AA). btw i love LOVE that song 🤧
I think you are spot on... yesterday in her livestream on Honeymoon she referred to herself as "alcoholic" and then corrected herself to "recovering alcoholic" which I had not heard her admit to in years
@@paradisetropico4977 i was so shocked when she said the word alcoholic because like you said she hasn't mentioned it in a while. also did you catch when she literally said "my breakup with Sean"? she was very open + honest
White dress is the song after Hope is a dangerous thing and she talks about being a waitress and the men in music business conference and also the dark triad is a psychological term
which song are you referring to that mentions this?
10:06 Ajayll's reaction to her movement that matches to the beat drop is iconic 👁👄👁
10:18 SHE BECOME A DRAGON 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hehe 10:04
this was my reaction!
The beat drop is giving “Sober II (Melodrama)” by Lorde
10:05 this is one of the best Ajayii moments ever. She totally surprised with her sync on the beat drop LOL.
pls come back queen, the lana gays need you 😭😭😭
Fr😢😢
I think this is the kind of album that grows more and more on you as you listen to it. I loved just a few songs on my first listen, but now I know that it's on my top 3 best albums from Lana because I love it so much and every song grew a lot on me. It's so calm, so personal, so unique from the others albums, I love the instrumentations and the outros are one of the best things about it alongside with her vocals.
Realmente!
I agree are you , my 3rd listen was when I understand it as a whole n enjoyed it
I agree! I was kinda slow to get into it because so many of the tracks I'd already heard, but as a cohesive body of work it's stunning ~~
it's my top3 too, after Born to die and NFR
Cherry blossom was written as a lullaby through the perspective of a mother. I imagine it’s the image of what Lana wishes her own mother was like. Sweet Carolina was written for her sister chuck (Caroline) who just had a baby which is why she sings about being there for her through the baby blues. (And that’s why they’re top 2 for me 💙)
aww
And Lana wrote it with her sister Chuck and their dad💞✨
Yes, also Cherry blossom is talking about her being there for her fans
And we know Lana had a miscarriage b4, so that line " little ghost, blonde hair with lemonade tea" was for her lost baby n the fact she wants to be a mother.

If can’t stop listen to dealer no worries u are not the only one i do more than 100time and still count
Violets For Roses and Nectar of the Gods are my favorite songs. Can't stop listening. The queen gave us not one but two perfect albums this year. 👸 👑
I loved textbook reaction “This is the third song in this song” LMAO
Most of the songs were recorded in ONE TAKE, that's why we can hear a lot of background sounds and voices in the songs, she said that she likes to record in one take cause you can feel like you're in the studio with her
I also feel some songs like I'm listening to 'White Dress'. Very raw but it's proof that Lana is the only good musician. Only one take but very artistic. Ah, love lana. Always
and for me it sounded so beautiful, i luv me some raw Lana
Your feelings during the entire album is so real and special! That's so good! Thank you for that!
This album is one of the best I’ve ever heard I’m obsessed with it lol
I’m always saying this but I promise you this album gets better with every listen. It’s so intricate and soft, the focus is more on the lyrics rather than the production, it takes a while to settle in but you’ll eventually love it. It’s absolutely stunning.
couldnt of said it better
TRUE
Ariana and Lana stan yay :3✨
your pfp>>>>
I am in love with the repeat button.
You know it’s good when Ajayll cries on the first song
Absolutely
