- Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson discuss their experiences on singing competition shows “The X Factor” and “American Idol,” respectively, and how Simon Cowell (who judged on both shows) has changed over the years. Leona talks about her latest song “One Step Closer” that she wrote with Dianne Warren and was inspired by famous anthropologist Jane Goodall.

It's so good to see her. Bleeding Love and Better in Time were my two favorite songs from her. Her voice is so beautiful. She has such a sweet heart and personality. Can't believe she's a mom now but I know she's an amazing one.

1:19 Leona wasn’t just on the show she WON her season and had a HUGE record selling career after but I love how Jennifer didn’t win but also went on to have major success too 🙏🏾✨
There is a big difference about how they got their success though. Jennifer Hudson sacrificed a family memeber for fame and forturne. Leona Lewis did not. In fact you could argue Leona Lewis did not sell out or push the illuminati agenda enough to be a global megastar like Adele. She making her money in the entertainment industry in peace without stressing or being too greedy.

Both these women have such powerhouse voices. Totally unmatched ❤
Leona Lewis to this day was my all-time favourite performance on x factor when she sang 'run' oh my god, what a performance, what a voice 😍👌👏👏👏
Can not listen to this woman sing "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" without feeling it all in my soul. Her rendition of it is absolute perfection. I will never understand how her natural speaking voice translates into the soul and pure grit in that performance.
This performance of her is also my all time favorite! It touched my soul in such deep and pure way. If love was a song, it would be exactly this one! I love Leona for million reasons!

FYI she has released other albums in the UK. She just has not released or promoted an album in the USA since 2008, which was her debut album. She basically did a Craig David in the USA music market, and stopped caring after having success early on.

@@PaladinesAngel Interesting. She may just be one of those artist that wait several to release a proper album, and may just have a cover albums or holiday albums in between to burn time.
@@OsAbliNgin911 I think what happened was that the music label that picked her up after her win from the Xfactor took her success for granted and stopped putting time and effort into her development. And I Am is a really good album, but as she walked away from Simon Cowell at that point his loyal following resented her for that, instead of supporting her taking ownership of her own music. Her single was great, but it did low key diss Synco. It doesn’t take much to upset the British public that’s for sure.
@@PaladinesAngel Simon Cowell tends to do his artist dirty, and the artist that blow up under him tend to be his handlers. For example Harry Styles handler was Simon Cowell before his career went to the next level. Simon Cowell is a Freemason, and Freemasons are control freaks.

Good luck with that. The way her career is moving it is like she is the female version of Craig David. I mean her last album was a Christmas album that was not even released or promoted in the USA. She needs to go back to her roots and find her true love for music again, which is what Craig David did. Now his music as a mature artist is bringing in new fans, and reminding old fans of his past music they first loved.
She works in coffee shops now got her own business to run she sings when she can. She has made her mark. For a x facter contestant shes done really well. @OsAbliNgin911
