I read somewhere on Shadow of a Hedgehog, that some guy was looking for this song to download, because him and his fiancee were going to get married and this was going to be their song, and I swear I thought that was the sweetest thing in the world. Everytime I hear this amazing song I think of those people, but it's really an amazing song.
Silver looked to the night sky, dotted with hundreds of stars shining through the clouds. He had been sitting here for hours, underneath what had once been a tree, but was now burnt to a twisted, black stump. The events of some time ago still haunted him, consumed his every thought and snaked deep into every crack of his mind. He had been her best friend, loved her, even... and yet, he hadn't been able to save her. She had died when he should have made the sacrifice. And he would never be able to fill the gaping hole in his heart, shaped like Blaze the Cat. He shook his head. He couldn't be having these thoughts. She wouldn't have wanted him to be sad. She would've wanted him to smile, to celebrate that the dreaded Iblis was gone forever, sealed into a world far from theirs. But Silver just couldn't shake the fact that Blaze was gone too. She had always wanted to protect him, and now that he was safe, that was all that mattered. He could almost hear her ever-calming voice talking to him: 'It's alright, Silver. Our world is no longer plagued by terror. I did this for our sake. I'll never forget you.' Silver smiled, barely noticing the tear falling from his eye. "I'll never forget you either, Blaze." And then he blinked, and she was gone. He lay down, deciding that he had to go to sleep. As he drifted off, he sung their favourite song to himself. "And I dream... of an absolution." RIP 06 Blaze the Cat. I will always choose the Rush games as canon to keep you alive.

Idk how I found out about Silvers theme when I was a kid cause I didn’t play Sonic 06 at the time but I’m so glad I found this remix back then, the original is so good but this imo makes it even better 💙

this song was used in a fan video here on UA-cam some years back with mostly Sonic Underground clips mixed with other Sonic properties, and it was masterfully edited and really felt like a cinematic experience. Unfortunately, the video was taken down recently, and even listening to this song just doesn't hit the same way. It's a real shame, and I'll definitely miss that incredible experience
