Mechanized apple tree planting using GPS. The tractor automatically follows the correct row line working off GPS co-ordinates and in row spacings are provided by The GPS signalling the correct location by spraying a blob of paint into the open trench. The planting operator then places the roots of the tree directly on the paint for precise location. Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
