Cooking with ancient sourdough starters

  • I am testing out 4 different ancient sourdough starters, by making bread from fresh milled flour. The flour comes from organic Russian red wheat berries. The sourdough starters tested are as such :
    The Egyptian sourdough dated back to 4500 years ago.
    The Black Death sourdough dated back 400 years ago.
    The San Francisco sourdough starter dated back at least 125 years ago.
     The beast with a mixed of different ancient sourdough starters.
    I also make sourdough peanut butter oatmeal cookies, and a homemade vegetable stew, all cooked on, and in a woodstove. My husband helps me taste test, all the different breads and also the cookies. My husband is helping with the greenhouse we moved on our property. The chickens and Bob, the rooster, they are helping with the greenhouse. My husband is also taking down the trees, called the tree of hell that are invasive to the property.
