Great video Matt I'll have to check this out sometime this looks like a pretty long hike to that high train trestle bridge over River Styx Road maybe I may try that someday or take it all the way on the bike trail to the bridge
Thanks for the beautiful videos of medina man I grew there graduated in 2000 moved in like 2004 miss it came moved back for a year or 2 but it's been awhile so this is making my heart ache .. thanks peace brother
Cool brother! You can relive Medina through this channel! I love this town!! Been here since 2007, but had family & have been coming here since the 80s
Very interesting guided tour. The Wheeling runs through the back of our property in our development in Suffield. So I will sometimes hike the tracks to Mogadore. You get to enjoy the wildlife and gain a different perspective on the landscape.
I trespassed across this trestle back in the '70's when it was Norfolk & Western (ACY) property and there were two outrigged stanchions, one on either side, with fire barrels full of water on both of them. (I rested on both: Great view!) I knew about the speed restrictions for trains across this segment, had a keen ear for train crossing horns, and luckily, I am still here today. I wouldn't recommend anyone try that today, as the WLE trains have much higher track speed now. You might not make it across.
I'd LOVE to catch a train or 2 on this bridge....problem is the traffic is sporadic enough, & I'm just far enough away, I'd have to do an all day stake out to catch one....UA-cam River Styx trestle, there are some neat videos out there.
Just caught part 2! I have to agree with ya today is a differant world compared to when we was growing up and i wouldn't take a chance crossing that either lol.. Nice area looks quiet and people seem down to earth..thanks for the footage....
Walked across that bridge in summer 94. Heard some weird shit happens on that bridge, like people hanging themselves off it any weird stories you guys here?
I tell a couple interesting ones I've heard in the video. The one that a friend's dad's saw someone jump off it to commit suicide I'm 99% sure is true....
Holy shit Matt I am walking in your footsteps for the first time in 42 yrs.cut to the chase walkout saved my life in 77 no rail just rotten planks .com8ng home from camping just east off 76 overpass girl friend screaming on other side of bridge ,long bridge finally we here TRAIN turn around coming at us at 5o mph brakes lock 4 teens run 4 there lives me and Gordo no shit make the overhang the 2 out front bolt too the end .trains slows enough for conductor to say next time I'm not stopping.never crossed again

I wouldn't do it either! Even knowing the train schedule & for a bunch of money!
I've been waiting for you to go to this area! One of my favorite places to see the trains cross!
