Good day to you! I am a senior rider on HONDA Cross Cub from Japan. I am enjoying camping, touring and upload video. This is so nice video! Awesome! Have a nice day my friend!
Hey... Loved the video. I don't own an adventure bike, I own a Harley. I've been camping off my bike for five or six years now. Space is always at a premium (limited) for me. Two saddlebags, that's it. I utilize a military poncho, a small sheet of tyvek, lite down bag, an air mattress, stuffed in a GoreTex bivy. My mess is a titanium mug, a spork, foil, p38, some instant espresso, and granola bars. I like to eat at local diners for my meals. My Camp kit, contains some paracord, a bic lighter, hexamine tablets, MxTool, and a small headlamp. It all fits in a small pouch. 'Cowboy' style as I describe it. After each trip, I evaluate what I needed, used, and didn't. A good practice, that keeps it simple. A change of clothes, cash, my cell phone, and a road map. That, and what I'm wearing. Making friends, and memories, having fun, and seeing new vistas. I love motocamping! Thanks again. Ride safe.
Excellent kit. Spot on with what you need for an overnight camping trip, not much room to pack on a motorcycle plus it’s easy to over pack with unnecessary items. Like you I like to travel lite. Great video Thanks
Thanks for showing what you're packing in the 12l Kriegas. I haven't been able to get out and put them to real use since I bought them and actually need to start accumulating a setup for a night or two at a time.
I'm excited to do my 1st motocycle camping trip, although I will be on a cruiser bike (kawasaki Vulcan 650) it was good to get an idea what stuff to take, your video was super smooth, informative and good to watch, thanks.
Hey mate, great video. I am just looking to getting into Adventure biking and camping. This has been very informative. I would also suggest a small first aid kit. Never know when you might need it. Keep up the good work, I am enjoying the rest of your vids.
@@_JoshJB_ oh nice, just before the temps drop. Although I’m saying that we’ve only averaged 29 degrees through Feb and nights have been into the single digits so winter might be already on the way
@@budget-adventure Id invest in a good pair of thermals, then you only need to pack one pair of good pants and a down jacket. If you're gonna get wet maybe pack two pairs of thermals, and keep those clothes in a plastic bag when you pack them!
Really helpful video, thanks. Been looking at the kriega bag system for my tenere and was great to see how they fit and how much you can get in them. 👌
Hey mate, would love to know your prespective in protective gear and what you wear in enduro style of riding and what you wear in adventure riding to be comfortable enough but still protected. Cheers! Keep up the awesome work!
Hey mate, I have dri rider adventure gear. It’s been good to me so far. If I’m into enduro stuff I’d just have my motorcross clothes on. Just moved to QLD and I’m going to have to look at some armor I can wear under a shirt as the warmer months up here aren’t very ADV jacket friendly. See how I go. Cheers 👍🏼
What do i know, I'm a newbie but the last Rock Moto vid i watched earlier took: sunblock, eye drops, chap stick, hand sanitizer, soap, shampoo, pain killers, hydration tablets, napkins (yes, really) hand wipes, a huge wide paper roll, a new roll of toilet paper, beach shoes for camp and flip flops for the shower .... 🤔🤷♂️
Man I wish I could pack that light. I tend to always run out of room. I’m doing 5 days though so 4 water bottles, more food more clothes. I always run out of room.
Got a 300L crf and can’t decide what luggage I need for small trips. New at it. That’s 36L total is enough? Looks at that brand or Mosko 40 or giant loop. Too many options and no experience:(
Hey Josh, have you done any sprocket changes on your drz for adv riding or do you ride it stock? Ive heard these E model bikes rev hard at 100ks so would be interested to see what you think. Cheers!
I have downsized the rear sprocket to a 44 tooth from the stock 47. Helps out slightly. Sits on 100 a little better. I try to keep away from the highways where I can so isn’t too much of a problem for me. Some people also change the front sprocket too.
I see you keep the DRZ , you still like to have the 2 bikes or can you see yourself getting rid of one ? Is the T7 all you’d hope it would be or is it harder to manage in the rough
I like having the two. There is some trips I want to do which I wouldn’t do on the tenere. A better rider than me might be willing to take the tenere down the tougher tracks but I’d prefer a slightly lighter bike for the tough stuff. That’s what the drz is for 👍🏻
Excellent video. Thank you! Our garages have the exact same bikes in them! How do you like the Steg Pegz on the T7? I'm very interested in them, but shy away from the price with the double donut considering I've never tried them before... Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
I never bring chairs or pillows. They take up too much space and you can always use something else. I'm only 66 so i could change my mind when I get old and more fragile.
You’re braver than me. I always have my chair and pillow. Blow up pillow and a fold up hiking chair. They don’t take up a whole lot of space but I couldn’t go without

Introduction in your garage shows you're into it 🤙
Very good list. The only thing I can think if it tire sealant for slow leaks and or a patch kit.

Nice work mate good to see another aussie getting on the t7
I wish I could pack so little, come on down to vic and the high country, thicker sleeping bags and more clothes lol. Great set up thou nice and light
😂 yea if the weather turned cold and wet I’d have to pack a lot more that’s for sure. Heading to the high country in April 👍🏼

Up last weekend. Has made a big difference so far
Exactly my problem. Off to Cameron’s / Flinders. Need a trailer 🙄

Where have you been Josh? Good to see you again. Ive since done the Bridal Track and remember your vlogs of the same.
Moved states at the end of last year so I’ve been a little quiet! Hopefully 2022 has plenty more adventures for me !
Great informative video 💯🇦🇺
Looks good I think you will make it out there . I think you might find a tow rope might come in handy good luck have fun
Question from a newbie: how does a tow rope help when you're on your own?

@@_JoshJB_ That's what I 'm trying to figure out, which armour should I buy for most cases to wear under jacket or jersey . Thanks for replying mate!
REV'IT Does a pretty good underjacket armor rig. "Proteus Armoured Under Jacket"
Very useful, thanks!

I would pack some of those things. But a few others that are not needed in my opinion.

Great video! Do you carry a electric tire inflator? What is the plan if you do a tire change? Thanks!
I carry a hand pump. The smallest one I could find 👍🏼

They are pricey but still worth it I think. Luckily for me they were already on the T7 when I bought it.

12:05 Port-a-Potty? Phone Booth? or TARDIS?!
Don't need much more than that. 👍
