Really enjoyed this video. Are you doing the tournament break downs this year? How were you fishing the ringo? Hook, weight, line - whatever you can share would be great. I assume you were in 4 trees or number 7? 1 foot or less - how close to deep water (3-4 ft). Thanks!
Thanks for watching. I haven’t done the breakdowns this year, maybe next year when life slows a little. The ringo was texas rigged on a 2/0 heavy wire offset round bend with a 3/16oz tungsten weight on 16lb test flouro. I threw it on a 7'3" MH Hammer, which was pretty light for that cover but it allowed me to make long casts with that light set up, which I believe was a big key. I was in 1-2ft of water, and there wasn’t really any depth in that area all. It was about an 8 minute idle to get to 4ft of water. I don't know the geographical terms on that lake very well, but I was pretty close to the 4 trees cluster. Hope that helps!
The 2 best ways for me are to look around hard cover (trees, rock, bank grass) on points, or on shallow offshore hard spots. For the offshore shad spawn, you won't see the shad spawning usually but you will see them running from hungry bass if you get around them. Thanks for watching!
that looks like a fun place to fish. have you got any advice for this weekend on Pickwick havent been on the lake all year and gonna go out and make a charitable donation in a big tourney on the north end
Oh man, they LUV that worm! I put in a order after your Sam Rayburn video & just put another order in for some more colors using your code. I fish it on a NRX 893c w/ Metanium Mgl & 12lb floro & 1/4oz. I even take it out the package & use another baggie to keep it secret 🤫.
Great finish Jimmy!! Not first place but it looks like you took it on the chin😆😉. Being blessed with you all having a baby in June is the best trophy that you will always have.
My personal preference is to use a 7:1 reel around really heavy cover due to more cranking leverage. It's hard to tell in the video, but there were some really thick submerged pad stems, and I had to horse most of those fish out of them. Thanks for the suggestion bud!
First, you have the most articulate hook set. I'm sure those fish that didn't hookup had sore mouths. Next, I guess BASS doesn't allow nets? Finally great job on the video and tournament, keep both going!, Way to stay observant on the final day, fish your instincts.
jimmy you need to work the camera you can make more on u tube than fishing if you work with your viewers show the fish to the camera talk to the camara look at sott Martin vid he makes bank on vids but he works the camera think about it!!!

What time of year was this video?
Late April.
Great job Jimmy! It was fun just watching you!! How do you locate a shad spawn??

Pickwick should have some fish on points and may even find a shad spawn around rock points. Good luck.
@@JimmyWashamFishing Thank you Jimmy I hope to find a good shad spawn out there
Does your drag slip on every hookset or is there something else making that sound?
That's definitely my drag. I have a bad habit of setting the hook like Hulk Hogan!
@@JimmyWashamFishing lock it down tater that line ain’t scared lol

Haha, that's awesome right there!
How did you have that Ringo rigged and what color? Congrats on a great finish!
Thanks Tommy. I had the Ringo Texas rigged with a 3/16oz weight and 2/0 offset round bend heavy wire hook on 16lb test. I mostly threw junebug.
Great finish Jimmy!!

Thanks Jon. I took Pickwick on the chin!🤣
If those weren’t 8:1:1 reels you need some. You were cranking in those fish faster than your reel would allow .

@@JimmyWashamFishing I'm just messing with ya lol. Most of mine are 7:1. Super versatile and noticeably more power.

I try not to get cut short on my hook sets! No nets in BASS, could you tell I was a rookie at it?🤣 Thanks for the support buddy.
Great finish Jimmy! Glad to see you break out of the slump and cash a nice check. What model GoPro are you using? That thing takes incredible video.
Hey thanks buddy. The camera at my console is a Hero 9 Black.
